I think that the AP system in its self should be got ridden of. one way or anuther it is allways used in the wrong way... verry rairly is it used for the right reason, that being, a way for the community to partrol the forums them selves.. so to speek

How about closing this thread and creating a new thread, or a new forum, in which posts do not count? I think that would be an amicable solution for all involved.
Personally I would post more in here if it wasn't counted. Maybe we could stop counting posts in GCC, Cosmos, and Tech Humor altogether? It would most likely increase the quality of the converstaion in this thread if posts started to be more than lines words apiece.
Maybe this thread could be moved to as new forum, where posts aren't counted. But Val created this thread, and he has a right to be proud of it. I don't think it would be fair to close it on him. Moving it to a new forum in which posts aren't counted would be the best solution IMHO. I think we would see the post quality increase more than enough to warrant the time and effort it would take. If the post count becomes retroactive, I for one would be more than willing to forfiet my senior status for the good of this board, and there aren't many other people who would lose anything beyond their count anyway.
So that's my solution. Create a new forum where posts aren't counted and move this thread there.

Well from the looks of it this fight is only happening because everyone wants to make this thread better. They simply have differing opinions, and are having some trouble coming to a mutually agreeable solution.
In any case, a public forum is not the place to bitch about AP's, nor is it the place to validate your reasons for assigning them. That's what PM's are for.

I just looked at strieks last post and I totally agree with him. This thread is non-sensicle so it is just for fun so AP's shouldn't count. We need a Thread where you can just post whatever you want and not get negged. But on the other hand lot's of people could use a thread like that to anoy the crap out of people and not get negged and a lot of un-checked flames could happen so maybe make it a earned site benifit or something of the sort.
