i think the lot of us can always benifit in this topic by reading the books of Joseph Cambell, he was before his passing a christian whoose beliefs were strengthened when he looked at other cultures religions and saw how many had similar tales intertwined in them.
his books include:
The Hero With A Thousand Faces
Myths To Live By
The Flight Of The Wild Gander
The Power Of Myth(transcript of Bill Moyers interview)

I do believe in God and I do believe that all religions (religions not cults) are in fact correct in there own way, but through the development of the organisations within each seperate religion, the peoples of that group have become blinded and have closed their minds to other peoples oppinions and become prejudiced and racist towards other people. Most religions in my opinion have forgotten what there founders have told them and have corrupted the writtings over the centurys.
Racism and prejudices are major issues in the world and they MUST be sorted out, I do not think that this will every happen until everyone excepts everyone for who they are and what there oppinions are. In my nearist city I can almost always find a member of a reigion trying to convert others to their faith and some even force themselves apon you. This I think is very wrong because I believe that people should be free to make their own choices without the hastle and prejudistim of other religion. I mean, there are wot, 5 billion people in the world and we're not all going to have the same oppinions and thoughts. So wot? I people dont convert to our religion we should be hatefull and vulger towards them. Theres not 1, not 1 religion that says we should do that.
I everyone could accept each other then people would be free to find there on philosophys on life and could feel free to be who they are.
I recantly shaved of a mohawk so that it would be easier to get a job -which I am not happy- and why is it harder to find work when I have that particular haircut? because people prejudge me because of it people look at me and see a rebelious trouble maker, and judge me of this before they even get to know me. I say this as an example, in a world free from prejudices and racisms would mean that I would be free to be who I am. Just think for a minute; think of all the sacrifices you have had to make and stil have to make because the worlds culture is soo judgemental. Of course it is impossible not to look and judge but it is your own PERSONAL oppinion of what this person is like and it should NOT affect this person.
Prejudices can lead to hatred towards certain people, and this again is wrong.
Yes it is a major thing for the world to change, but it needs to happen.
ok, Ive got a bit side tracked here... where were we? Oh, yes Gods existance.
Well...
Just look at the likleyhood that the human race as a species acheived what it is with out the help of some other force. I mean what we have become is incredible, and yet we still use soo little of our brains, we are capable of so much more. I mean, just look at the facts, once apona time in a galaxy far far away, there was nothing, and then for no aparent reason whatsoever there was a big boost of life on planet earth and species started to evolve.
I personally, for me believe there is a God, although I also think that if someone believes is that we are merery just an evolved species then im fine with that. I will not hastle then into conforming to something else. I believe that people find philosophys on life that suits them best and if becoming a christian is whats for them then fine, if becoming a jew is whats or them then fine, if becoming a bahai is whats for them then once again fine, it doesnt matter what you are just so long as you are happy, because in my oppinion everyone has a right to be happy and has a right to there own oppinion. This of course isnt all I believe but I think thats quite enough for this, and I cant be bothered to type anymore.
Soo happy discussing.

i guess im going to hell...
i dont belive in god i feel that god was just made up or a story like santa (USA). I think God is just another form of the human ego to put us above every other creation on Earth that even in death we will be above all.
All you religion fanatics need to kiss ur asses goodbye cause after you die your dead, get the hell over it.

God
My belief of God is simple: God is the idol of the mob; worshipped by those who adore everything they do not understand.

Probability has nothing to do with Gods existance. There is one almighty creator, who is omniciet. We are all extensions of his existence. No-one is without God, because we all are a part of him, whether we like it or not, he is always "there".
God is on another plane of existence, where normal reasoning are non-existant. All there is, is God, we wont be able to deny his glory. He is the I AM...the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Every knee shall bow and every tounge shall confess. Mark My Words Boys.

I definately believe in God. I'm not sure if thats because I was raised up rather strictly as a catholic, or if I really believe it. I think that your parents have an enormous effect on what type of person you will be as you grow up. Rather your dad is a priest or a grand knight of the KKK, he still has an impact on you. A kid that grows up being taught that black people are bad is gonna think that hating blacks is right, but....someone that is taught the teachings of his parents religion their whole life will believe that what he was taught is the truth.
