I don't see the point in you posting the figures for W.W.2
I was talking about our S.A.S Soldiers saving the lives of 100 U.S soldiers in the battle at Tora Bora.
The quote i made was that someone belived that we are not needed to help in wars??
Saying we don't fight wars..
Yes..We don't start WARS...We act under the United Nations!!
It was toward the comment of the person who toldQuote:

you that Aussies don't fight wars.
Sorry if WWII seems a long time back, but it was the best example
I could find to support the general fact that, when it matters,
lots of countries have made a contribution toward fighting
the world's tyrants.

Hey, don't take it to heart. Whenever these kind of controversial discussions come out, there's bound to be ignorant folk out there that'll try to bash you just for having an opinion. Besides, this person was obvioulsy uneducated on the subject. Don't be too worried about it though, I got called a redneck yankee wanker for my post! :DQuote:

Take care.....y'all
:D
There will probably be an attack Thurs or Fri because a carrier is in the Gulf and you just don't let one sit there for the hell of it. One term president is doing daddy's business.
Causalties usually refer to injured and death.
There's almost always a carrier group sitting in the gulf. Its nothing new.Quote:

PS - Here's a nice site stating where all carriers are located. It also has the logs for each carrier as well, stating where they've been and for how long. Carriers go the Persiain Gulf on a regular basis.
CV Locations
Remove Saddam?
Item 1: Opponents thrown into vats of acid by Saddam and his police when he was head of security
Item 2: Over 100,000 Kurds gassed and killed in the 1980s by Saddam
Item 3: Oilfields set afire by Saddam after the Gulf War
Item 4: Last fall two American sailors killed when a oil tanker from Basra was boarded by them to inspect its legitimacy/destination (money not being used to buy weapons).
Item 5: On a radio interview last spring, the former head of the Iraqi nuclear program said that in the 80s and 90s he and his colleagues were doing all they could to keep a nuclear weapon out of Saddam's hands. They most probably would not use this to keep warm on a cold night.
It's war right now.
It's war, already. The time is now.
Not to be an intigator but maybe he wanted to start an energy plant utilizing nuculear materials. After all they are being embargoed from heck.
We know he gassed those people and did the acid thingy, but that was in the name of a revolution so its okay... I mean were is your proof.
I think everyone agrees that Sadamm is hurting the Iraqi people economically and so forth. however, if we as americans react to harshly without world support then we may start the perception of who is next? Syria, Egypt, Iran, N. Korea? That is just not good politics.
I say encourage Iran...and other Arab nations to police their own.
But I am small man with no input.
By the way there is always a Carrier Group in that Region including a Marine Expeditionary Unit. That is standard, ever since the Gulf thingy back in 1990.
