I'm not sure what I could do without AO for everything! Ya kidding me? I'm on this site close to 24/7, and it has taught me alot! AntiOnline is like my 'net home. It helps me alot with finding out the new vulnerabilities, and nothing makes someone happy than a whole hearty security discussion with multiple views and nothing but information discussion. Nice and hearty, like a Campbells soup ;) I just wish we had more of those..

prodikal -- I applaud your effort to keep the forums on target, but one of the great things about a community like this is to hear the comments and opinions of your peers on lots of different topics. I understand your frustration in that this site is first and foremost a "security site", but general discussion is sometimes of more interest to me than the security issues of the week.
I have had many of the same frustrations you've had over the last few weeks because the "General Chit-Chat" has seemingly dominated the front page. Perhaps the front page should be reserved for the forums strictly related to security. That way you could keep up with your legitimate questions and answers to security problems by just visiting the front page, but the General Chit-Chat area would still be available for you when you want to just shoot the breeze. I don't think it's a great idea to lose the Chit-Chat altogether, but I support your idea that it should be secondary to security topics.

Since I started one of those threads , I'll just say why I posted it.
I have made a total of 3 posts in several months and two of them were discussion starters that made the front page and one of them was simply a post in one of the discussions. I try to avoid posting silly things like "Yeah, that's right" ect. The reason why I posted the article about the study was because I thought other people in the community might find it interesting that something like this was on the net. Sure it's not security or technically related, however I felt it would be an interesting topic to discuss with my friends from AO. I read a lot of technical posts, and it's fun to find something unique and share it to lighten up the atmosphere. I hope that sorts that out, and as other users have said, the "General Chit-Chat" Forum is for "anything else". I got an A+ in sharing back in Pre-school, ;) so I thought I'd share something interesting that I found

please cha_chi dont take offense to it i didnt mean it to be offensive i just used your thread as an example as i think posts like them make other's over look the meaning of why we are really here it just makes me angry when a post that needs attention like a computer or security related post gets over looked with posts like thatQuote:
