that was a fairly negative post mark_boyle2002, i mean everyone asks stupid questions, but at least dignify him by pointing him in the right direction, A/O isn't supposed to be a place were newbies get flammed for asking questions, you would do well to remember that next time

Grinler, thanks for the sites to the free tools. There great. Kativan don't worry about the negs or the burns or the flames, keep asking questions. But, it is a good idea to read. I don't post much, but I read alot of what is on AO. It is a great site. I've gotten help from people here that no other site could or would give me. Most people here are cool, there are some that seem to enjoy burning others, but that is what makes this site real.

update
Well, I am taking this computer in the morning to be looked at by the proper authorities, (got friends in high places so to speak) mainly due to the fact I have info on here that ought not get out to certain individuals, long story trust me. If your thinking, "but if you have stuff on their you don't want to be seen why take it to the feds", well cause I have nothing to hide from them. From what they told me to do with it in the meantime, I plugged the hole whatever that means, still a bit leary so I am not on here for long, when I get it back I will let you all know what happens.
As for the posts that are a bit harsh, it comes with the territory now days, I just let it roll off my back.

For any who care, I just whipped up a tutorial on Windows Forensics and determining if you have been hacked. I posted it in the tutorial section and the title is:
