Nuclear Proliferation is inevitable.
When the first of our ancient predecessors picked up a tool and beat his cousin to death with it we were doomed to have an arms race. As one tribe (clan) used how to use bronze, silver, gold, steam, petroleum, nuclear, silicon, etc, etc, the neighboring clans were forced to keep up either by hacking the original or by taking it to higher level.
Unfortunately, Mans greatest accomplishment seems to be in the efficeincy that we can kill our fellow beings. That sucks!

You would have to eliminate the undesirable emotional context of man in order to achieve world peace, unfortunately that would also be dangerous. Like removing the gene code that wires a brain for cruelty or greed. But would the result be any fun? Would it take away creativity?
