I don't know if anyone here has heard about it, but here in my school are saying there should be a "Trail of Queers" and all the unstraight people should go to Canada. I don't really have a stand on how fair that is, but I, for one, don't what gay neighbors.

Well, I personally perfer the King James or the NIV version of the Bible. As for other religions not counting in my book, you hit the nail right on the head, because only through Jesus can one obtain eternal life. I do not bash other religions in general, however I want for all of them to be Saved if possible. Marriage has been an established insitution for thousands of years as being between one man and one woman, which is emphasized in the Bible. Thus marriage is clearly defined as an instution that is entered into by a man and a woman, in front of God, which needs to follow the instructions of God so that the marriage is valid in the eyes of God.Quote:

You know, theives, drug users, and pedafilists can claim that they were abused as a child or have a genetic code that makes them prone to breaking the law, and that they should be allowed to break the law in the name of freedom because that is their chosen lifestyle. Lot's of minority groups can claim these types of distinctions. So does thas mean that America should have to make a new law or constitutional amendment everytime a minority group wants to break the law in the name of freedom.
I understand that we live in a country that is based upon freedom, however I fail to understand the mentality that if there is no law forbiding an action then that action is legal by default. Germany was a prime example of this where the government was unable to charge one of it's citizens with cannibalism because there was no law against it. It is a great concern to me that America has made it to the point that it has to enact a new law or constitutionl amendment in order to enforce existing law or to declare an action as illegal for each new method of lawlessness a criminal may discovers.
Now, wrong is wrong, and we all know when we are doing "wrong." Homosexuals know that their lifestyles are wrong, even though they won't admit it. Homosexuals doubt that they are going to Heaven. Homosexuals know that marriage is a institution established by God. Any homosexual that denies this is lying though their teeth, because deep down their conscious is telling them that their chosen lifestyle is wrong and they feel destitute when it comes to being accepted by God and their fellow man.

Groups who bitch because they want their religious laws forced on everybody else make me sick. People always bash jews, but they never do this ****. You don't see them pushing for a law where you can't have milk and meat at the same meal, etc... In general gay people are nicer and less agressive, I suppose it is their nature. I figured youwhere a King James guy.....you relises that bible wasn't writen by the order of king james but writen at him.....at the time he was undicided between the catholics and the protistants, so the catholics where sending him alterboys to earn his favor. The protistants retaliated wit ha new version of the bible that emphised the evils of homosexuality. (luckly for me he eventualy closed his eyes and did his duty for god and ****ry with the queen, otherwise I woudn't be here.)

The statement you quoted was intended to enunciate my personal opinions on basic human nature, and how I believe all people percieve themselves as being part of something larger than just themselves. It was not my intent to anger you to the point ,where you needed to rely on profanity and threats to explain your point of view. Thus, you have my apology.
And let me say that, you are right. This is a matter of law, and since law defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman, gay marriage is unlawful until deemed otherwise by the "majority" as you put it. Please remember also that the US is not a true Democracy but it is in actuality a Representative Republic, thus the preventing anarchy that is normally inherent in a true Democracy. Your comment about Religious groups forcing thier laws on people is, I feel, misguided at best. Every judicial system in this world is be based on some definition of morals, and morals are always found in religion. So by your definition, it sounds like you believe that all laws are unjust and that whatever the mob mentality wants, the mob mentality sould receive. I suggest that you need to rethink this stance to avoid inconsistancies. Finally I am sorry to disappoint you, but you cannot make me go to Hell, seeing as that will not be your decision. I appreciate your concern though.
Hey MSmittens. I really think that everyone believes in a God of some type, however I suppose that it is possible to talk oneself into not believing in a supreme being. In defense of my view though, everyone I have talked to that does not practice religion, feels a small amount of trepidation about the possibility that ther could be a God and that I just might be right. Either way, all I can really do for individuals that do not believe in God is to pray for them, and lead my life in a way that will serve as an example that there is a better life/afterlife waiting for them.

An Update Everyone! This is like the child that doesn't want to share thier cookie, so they throw it in the dirt where no-one can have it.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Benton County (search) commissioners voted Monday to postpone issuing marriage licenses to everyone — not just same-sex couples — until a court decision is made on whether gay marriages in Oregon are legal.
Benton County Commission Chairwoman Linda Modrell said the commission was respecting a request from Attorney General Hardy Myers (search).
"We ask for the public's patience with this temporary inconvenience," she said.
"It is in everyone's best interests to stand by and recognize that all citizens receive equal treatment from their government," she said.
Benton County voted last week to join Multnomah County (search) in issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. That was supposed to begin this coming Wednesday.
But Benton County has now decided to wait until a Multnomah County court issues a ruling on the legality of gay marriages.
Modrell said a ruling is expected before the end of April.
