bballad, I don't care what started the Iraq war. I care about now. The present situation and defeating these people who hold the world hostage, have held us all hostage to our own fears my entire life. Iraq is only the latest situation.

Prisoner exchange is not an option, almost every terrorist act outside of 911 has been for "prisoner exchange" Every hijacked airline I can think of in the 70s and 80s was for "prisoner exhange". The problem is, there will be more prisoners, we will catch more blowing up Mosques because those inside want peace or an elected goverment or don't have the exact same view of the Koran.

If I even entertained the action that some ****ed up soldier is setting around picking off kids and women for fun I would adcovate the most sever punishment our society has on that murderer. The problem is bballad, and don't believe that and the rogue would be caught by the concience of other troops. We have those in our own society that would kill for fun but our soldiers aren't a bunch of idot murderers like you believe they are, like many advocate in their dark views. If law allowed it and I was in charge, those people would be executed as well.

I would tend to think a man hacking the head off another would be prone to some severe predudice, perhaps even prone to extending the truth of his world and seeing what his mind believes as reality. Compassion can only go so far for me.

WHAT ****ING DOUBLE STANDARD?!?!?!...if you're going to talk about double standards...dont throw a bunch of lies about our soldiers "Pickin off" little kids for fun with a sniper rifle....you lost your whole argument because its unsustained. Road its not some rouge...we have some very good third party reports of pur boys fireing on aid workers and ambulances during the faluja incidents, we also shot old men, women and children just for the hell of it it seems.

As for prisioner exchnage, why isn't that an option...we can arm these guys in exchange for drugs, but will not lift a finger to keep an american alive? seems to make sense to me.

That's the sickness in this whole affair..... We feel a need to defend ourselves from an enemy that won't stand up and fight like a man who wants us dead because we aren't of their faith and we don't live our life to the standards they supposedly do.......

I'll tell you a little secret about some of those nice people who's standards are so high. They are the people that turn up in Britain and go on binges.... they then kill someone while driving drunk and claim diplomatic immunity. Britain ships them off back to their country where the next time their little head pops up it is as a magistrate prosecuting a Brit for drinking alcohol in his own apartment in the city...... Drinking is against their law - both religious and secular law. I guess that fancy religion doesn't extend past their borders when they want to have fun.

Pardon me for butting into your debate...I would have to wonder just how reliable that info is. If we can't even keep prisoner "abuse" pictures out of the news, how on earth is something like that going to stay off the front pages? Especially when virtually every press corp in the world is looking for the ultimate scoop.

Tiger I have no problem with defense, and as soon as someone shows up to attack me Iwill happly kill them..I justdon't see how the iraqis could possably be a threat....I would be a very happy man if we conintrated on alquida and crushed them like cokroaches, insted we make them stronger by acteing as the oppressors they claim we are.

I will not eat it with a fox, I will not eat it with some lox.. (I don't watch Fox, I do browse other online media, and that's the first I have seen)

So, with that being said, If ANY troops are firing on ambulances unprovoked, then somebody needs to be brought up on charges, simple as that. If unarmed civilians are being fired on, the same thing goes. However, if ambulances are being used as mobile weapon platforms (which isn't such a stretch of the imagination), or if women and children run out in the middle of a firefight, then there are mitigating circumstances. The problem with reporting in this particular area is the whole "fog of war" where nobody knows for sure what is happening.

Simply put, nobody is going to have an accurate accounting of what happened there until it's all over. It may well turn out that the women and children getting shot were only moments before shooting back. Then when they realized they were outmatched, tried to surrender.

The stories were interesting, but they are, at the moment, uncorroborated by any reputable sources.

In the future, when making reference to events not yet in the mainstream, it would be helpful to provide links. It might save some hurt feelings.
