update I Explorer to version 6
get hold of Norton Utilities 2k2 or 2k3, should check your windows ME and fix errors.

GET RID OF KAZAA! That is one of the very worst for Spyware and viruses that I have come accross to date!
Get a free copy of Anti Virus Grisoft (AVG) from www.grisoft.com. As far as I can tell, after testing Norton, Grisoft, McCafey, Dr. Solomons, Sophos, and many others, I still can't find one as good and as affordable and easy to use as Grisoft AVG. If you have the money, do what hexadecimal said and get thyself a copy of XP! Find it more stable and reliable than most of the windows OS's. If you want evenmore sability then you should go along the Linux / Unix route and get something of that nature, but then you might have driver issues with the OS (I'm no expert on Linux and can't say)

After reading all the suggestions i would like to ad my 2 cents .
get rid of windows me and install an old version of windows 98 second edition. it will save you a lot off trouble

disk cleanup is on your computer already it should be under system tools.
Well Kazza is legal but that is a moral issue....
What you do with it may be a little shaddy....
But the problem is Spyware from Kazza....
Go to here http://files.lavasoft.us
or to www.lavasoft.us and get Adaware and run it...
Note: If you have 800+ spyware files...better do a clean install
of the OS... To much damage may have been done...
