London Bombings

Were the Christian groups (Koresh) picked up because the were preaching in English and therefore the authorities were able to pick up on his 'plans' quickly?
I don't know the full story with Waco I'm speculating.
Do most Mosques/Imams preach in Arabic? It's unlikely that a passer by would be able to understand any threating speaches to report them.

Someone on Schneier's blog made a comment about listening to Imams preaching in Arabic (in Islamic states) to hear the true comment form the Islamic nations. He didn't say what that was but I'm sure I can guess.

If all that is true we'll find with the proposed anti-hate laws here that all comment in English will be persecuted by the PC zealots while the most vile preachings in Arabic may be said without comment or action.

It will end with a backlash, or maybe it already has with the slightly fundamentalist Christian Bush in charge of the US.

Strong possibility is that there is some "strain" of Islam (speculating) that focuses on some type of "mass destruction solution". By "strain", like modern religion where many have the same core beliefs, just minor differences in worship, practices, etc.

Instead of going overseas to fight, we need to send students overseas to learn their strengths/vulnerabilities, the way they send immigrants here to "learn" in America.

BTW the FBI had a hugh recruiting program in paterson (four block from where i live), brooklyn and other cities, aimed at muslims. fairly sure we have agents in the mosques...at least i hope we do!

Latest from here is that they are asking if it was a 'suicide' bombing ...........

as there were no crys of allah akbar [sp] or the 'I have triumphed' [google it] that is associated with these kinds of attacks.

The thoughts going round are of someone setting them up to deliver the devices, with a promise of escape ...............

THEN the devices are set to explode early, OR are set off via the ubiquitous cell phone, the ticking clock fuse of the 21st Century.

I would prefer to believe that it WAS a suicide attack, and this is just a weak attempt from our government at spreading FUD throughout their ranks.........

I can't speak for Muslims in England but most I know in the Arab world get plenty of sex. Well if their society status allows anyway. Curious....

I was listening to BBC last night. There was a large segment on Blair and other groups reaching out to the Muslim community to cuddle them and let them know they are loved. How Sweet. And (I listened a long time) then later a viewpoint involving "less love making" was on and labeled as an extremist by commentators. Have we confused what extremist is? Or am I a crazy war monger?
