Chocolate Orange Trufle

40 minutes preparing, 20 minutes cooking

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp orange liqueur
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp orange zest
1 oz squares semisweet chocolate, chopped
STEP BY STEP:
1) In a medium saucepan, bring butter and cream to a boil over medium high heat.
2)Remove from heat. Add chocolate, orange liqueur, and orange peel; stir until melted and smooth.
3)Pour truffle mixture into a shallow bowl, or a 9X5 in loaf pan. Chill until firm, about 2 hours.
4)Line 2 baking sheets with waxed paper. Shape chilled truffle mixture by rounded teaspoons into small balls.
5)Place on prepared baking sheets. Chill until firm, about 30 minutes.
6)In the top of a double boiler set over simmering (not boiling) water, heat chocolate and oil, stirring until melted and smooth. Transfer chocolate mixture to a bowl.
7)Drop truffles into melted chocolate mixture. Using 2 forks, lift out truffles tapping gently on side of bowl to allow excess coating to drip back in bowl.
8)Return truffles to baking sheets lined with waxed paper, and chill until set.

:confused: I'm confused is it trifle or trufle? Trufle's are mushrooms arn't they? Did he just misspell it?

Trifle
1 (10 inch) sponge cake, cut in cubes
1 (15.25 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
1 (3 ounce) package port wine flavored gelatin mix
2 tablespoons custard powder
4 teaspoons white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 Place the cake in a glass serving bowl and cover with the canned fruit. Prepare gelatin according to package instructions and pour over fruit and cake.
2 Combine custard powder and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in milk and cook until thick and creamy. Pour over sponge cake mixture. Chill until set.

WOW! You can get wine flavored Jello? I never knew that. I guess you learn something new every day.
we have a port flavoured, It is nice, a really dark red in colour.

Does it have real port wine extract or does it just taste like wine? And does it taste close to the real thing?

I dont know, it is soled to kids so proble no alcahole in it. I do not drink port so i can not compart te to sorry.
