Hate when I get timed out (and finds out when I press submit reply)
Anyhow, I must say that I had forgotten about the ship.
(But if I was a police in Gaza I would look around for something heavier than a handgun to shot with at the attack helicopters blowing up my department.)
I looked around (ok glanced around) and could only find Israeli or American info on the subject except for this article from the Guardian. (UK paper) And it raises some interesting questions.
*No real proof that Arafat is involved.
*Claim that the captain infact is not involved with PA anymore.
*What the Israelis claim to be the mastermind behind the operation, Adel Mughrabi (aka Adel Awadallah and Adel Salameh), was dismissed 1980 from Arafat´s staff.
Found another article from the same author regarding the same subject and is reading it right now. The Guardian
IMO it looks like a Hizbullah operation involving a couple of renegade PA´s.

one thing we must admit is that the isreali secret police is at least 10 times more efficient that the nsa or the cia or both combined ... they are well capable to have organized the karin A affair from scratch .
guess who originally created and supported the hamas ?
i'll give you a hint they had the support of the usa ...
-
*snicker* I have to agree with you on that one nabylbt.
-
I would never put anthing past MOSSAD....
course they might be watching us all right now!!!
(Pooh Bear - I have found that the Guardian needs to be taken with more than a grain of salt, those facts have not been coroborated by other media sources.... so until more people confrim that I still believe that the PLO/PA was invovled....)
PS - No other Americans care about this? I don't like the Apathy that the US has developed.
-
apathy might be the best solution for all sides cuz if out of apathy the us stops helping the israel, they will be forced to negociate seriously.... and that would be the best isn't it ?
-
Negotiate seriously? Seriously. The Palestinians obviously do not believe in diplomacy otherwise they wouldn't continue to attack the Israelis. They have yet to actually follow through with a cease-fire. I say the Iraelis have the right to protect their interests against people who can't get their leadership to commit to anything but hoodlum terrorism, car bombs, etc. etc.
-
well i guess after negotiating for almost 10yrs and not getting anything ie
-wild colonies sill being build ont pa land
-no return of the expatriate
-no indemnisation for the land stolen
-no indemnisation for the house of civilians destroyed for security purpoise (i fail to see the how that can be, but that is the official excuse use by the army see the ruling of isreal's suprem court that stoped that order it went through ... TODAY 21/02/2002 !!)
yeah i guess they should have kept negociating ...
neither side wnats to budge on anything, i think the pa realized they have to negociate, now it is isreal's turn.... specially with Sharon's as prime minister who is indicted for war criminal in belguim.... funny don't you think ?
i agree with the part "have the right to protect their interests against people who can't get their leadership to commit to anything but hoodlum terrorism, car bombs, etc. etc."
yet it sounds like exactly how isreal was created .... leading terrorist attacks against the british to take over...
yeap if they can why not others .... o yeah they had just gone trough the whole nazi thing and a lot of sympathy was going for them so let them do whatever....
ps i don' care about the way this will be solve because in any case the other side will say that they got ripped of.... for what it matter you can nuke the whole area (waiting for the neg antipoints heheheh) but it still won't change anything cuz they'll fight for the leftovers...
nope they have to sit down and negotiate directly, not through some fency diplomat who cares more about the score of the superbowl then those 10 million people (i have no clue what is the population of isreal+palestine well i guess it depands also on the palestiniens that can't go home, the one that have simply disseapered, and the jew that feel it's time to go home ...those last ones are decreasing )
...
whatever this discussion is pointless because no side will ever agree they might even be wrong or at least publicly, and this beckering online won't change anything anyways

Israel......
I believe that the Israelis are the true terrorists in the mideast. It was around 1947 after WWII that the palestinians were forced out of their homes and had to "give" their land etc. to the Jewish people. Now, for some reason everyone is supporting them and acting like the palestinians are terrorists. When in actuality the palestinians are just caught up in a guerrilla war to get back their home land and what is and was rightfully theirs. There's not much I can say about that situation here without getting flammed. I can assure you that the american medias coverage of the mideast is half assed and biased at best. I have many friends from the mideast..and even palestine. They have told me their side of things..... if anyone wants..I can recommend some good sites on the topic.
-
Well I'm not going to give a freakin' history lesson here but time did exist before 1947.... The jews were kicked off their land before there were any Palestinians.. So who's land is it. The squatters. I'll tell you what if I come home and there's a squatter in my house I won't think anything of kickin' his ass out so my family has a place to sleep.
As far as being terrorists you couldn't be more wrong. Please... the palestinians were in a fight with everyone before the Israelis moved in and calmed the place down.
Keep in mind the middle east has been a blood bath for forever and it will continue to be so until the Israelis put their collective foot down and stop it.
-
Granted....
The wars in the mideast have been going on forever. But, our opinions will always differ on who is at fault and for what reason. I hope u respect my opinion as I do urs. I see no point in going on with this......I'll only get flammed. Not that I care much but our opinions are both felt strongly and very opposite. There are many boards out there to post such opinions...just thought I would make a quick post just to let u all realize that not ALL americans side with Israel. Thank u. :2pick:
