Good try but I was discharged in 2005 from the Navy. If you know anything about Navy information tech then you know I worked in the EDP department. This is basically aircraft carrier messaging, encrytion, private emails (medical, dental, special ops), radio frequency's, and monitoring all secured web accesses. There was a such thing as scom.sgov and smil. Combat Systems division- CS-5 (elite)

I also know as a FACT...FACT...my carrier USS Enterprise was already bombing targets when 911 happened. Before Bush put down the children's book. The jets returned and the convey headed to New York.

I know what I am talking about. I went to training with other candidates from other carriers and support ships. I don't need you to control my thinking. I don't need to tell your 4 different combinations to a vault...I don't need to tell you about corrupted backup tapes sent to the defense department in tamperproof packaging.

The cases are almost endless, military and civil...the Tuskegee Syphilis Study was just used as an example....Agent Orange was another recent one in Vietnam...but things seem to have improved since the 70's...governments realize that in our age of information it's a lot harder to cover things up and people are less suseptible to spin.

Can you say......Iran/Contra, if these guy's hadn't of screwed up, the US citizens may have never had heard of it.

Two words..."National Security" a lot of incidents can be swept under the Oval Office rug with those words, why do you think it took what 45yrs for letters and memo's of the Warren Commission to become public (JFK Assasination), the reason they place such censore on these documents for a long period of time is because, most individuals could give a rats a*s about history (reason why we repeat the mistakes) and will forget about it, and or the people involved have since turned to dust, or are about to keel over....They are still releasing confidential material from the second World War, basically on a as needed basis or need to know...so forget about Korea or Vietnam for awhile yet....and we certainly won't be around for when they decide to make the 9/11 documents available to the public...

I am older than 30. Before I went into the military I already had 13 years of IT experience. Besides your insults are off topic. At least backup your facts. Even a bum can be a cia agent attempting to discredit. How you think I felt walking around the ship holding secrets and entering flagship rooms when people who are lifers never knew that room existed. This room is dark...filled with 4-5 unix servers and has seating with computer stations and encryption equipment. As far as the IT, I didn't really learn anything knew but how to setup voice and data terminals using different radios, configurations and everything. That was golden. You were better than any petty officer outside your division. when you are in the middle of the Atlantic, you have to suck our dick to keep EVERY computer running. Captain can steer to his destination if the Pentagon can't speak.

Yes...but I was specifically citing in my posts heinous crimes perpetrated against one's own citizens by their government.

If we extend that to just heinous crimes we enter a whole new realm ;) but...still...Iran/Contra would not fall into the category of ' heinous '...sneaky, under-handed, and morally reprehensible maybe...but not heinous.

I was just trying to point out the bit about the public ever hearing about anything period, unless the documents are leaked or someone blows the whistle...or someone in the Gov't trips up...

I brought this up the other day to someone. Just like the Towers falling... we have to wait to every victim dies and family forgotten before we can see the true facts on the Discovery Channel( Tiger: this is an example).

I still want to know why JFK was shot and why Martin Luther King was wiretapped and constantly harrassed.
