I believe maturity is a total package that comes with time. Just because you open the door for a lady you dont know ( the southern gentleman in me) does that make you mature? no. Maturity is reached when you can look back on some of the stuff you did and say " that was pretty stupid" its reached when you are able to treat everyone equally regardless of gender,age, whatever. It involves knowing when you are ready for the next step in life. Im 21, am I ready for kids yet? no. thats why I practice safe sex ;) I need to be out of college and get a better job before I start on those. I realize that and I like to think im on my way to maturity. I hope that one day I will find a woman willing to put up with me on a permanent basis :). Maturity involves knowing when to do/say something and when not too. Maturity is a lifelong process that can always be improved on. Its a total package. Am I mature? I believe im starting to be mature but I have a long way to go yet. end rant

P.S. why threads about AO and girls always tend to crawl towards 10 pages long?

Maturity has very little to do with age. I was more mature at 18 than my ex-husband is at 38. I am not as mature at 32 as some of the 18 yr old kids I work with.
