Err, why not just point it out in an unambiguous way? I was actually perfectly on track who I was attributing statements to, you must have failed to understand what I wrote. Never mind .....

Negative the bible contains the ultimate moral guide. If eveyone lived their lives based on the 10 commandments, they wouldn't go far wrong.

Anyway, I don't want to get bogged down in this. As I said, I've just about exhausted this argument. I don't think I've much more I want to contribute here because there isn't really anyone who wants to listen - mostly you just seem to be finding pleasure in seizing on whatever I say as an excuse to attack me and my beliefs. But it's been interesting :)

I miss all the fun.

The universe is bigger than what light could have traveled in x amount of time because of the fundamental and accepted idea that it is expanding. The light speed "rule" IS relative to your general position of observation and measurement. Thus the term "theory of relativity" being that things are relative to one another and a reference point.

A light particle moving faster than the speed of light does not disprove the general theory of relativity in that e-mc^2 is still intact. The experiment does offer some kind of effect that it may be possible to communicate back in time. In essence they have already done that in the experiment assuming everything is correct in the article. Back in time you say? Time is nothing more than the relative position of an object in a particular moment in space.

The Koran contains the ultimate moral guide as well. Can there be two? Since the Koran came about around 700 AD, does it get the last word?

Well, God doesn't have to be to perfect. Using the Bible as the source of my statement, I think we can safely assume there are references to God being perfect.
"Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." - Matthew 5:48
"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless." - 2 Samuel 22:31, Psalm 18:30
"He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he" - Deuteronomy 32:4

In any event, I would like to think that if God exists, it is flawed and makes mistakes & it's not omniscient. I don't even want to begin getting into the whole predetermination vs. free will debate :eek:

Maybe "God" did create the world. After all, we create worlds for bacteria. We just call them petri dishes.

If God is perfect, how do we explain the existence of the giraffe, the platypus, and Phyllis Diller?

Hmmmm the first two are tough but Phyliss Diller? wasn't she married to God at one point (alias Fang)....:D

That's a classic...

God has to be perfect otherwise the monatheistic religions basing their belief off "his" words would fall apart. His lack of error hold things together. I never saw the logic in a perfect creator. More intune with reality than us perhaps but perfect in every fram of reference?

C'mon the giraffe even CONTAINS the word "gaffe" within it. Clearly these 3 life forms are not the work of a serious artist, nor a perfect one.

Maybe the theory of multiple gods is more correct. Consider them like different artists. ;)
