You guys wouldn't believe this. I'm downloading a son off of kazaa on my 56k dialup connection and I was getting 14.80 KB yes Kilobytes not bits. Thats like ISDN speed. Now its down to 8KB, but I kid you not, it stayed up at 14 for 1 minute. Is my line going to blow up or something??? lol

I can't belive this.

Now its back to downloading at 5KB.

I wonder what happened. All of a sudden, my speed just surged on this 56k line.?? I've only seen this once before, and it only got up to 8KB last time.

yeah it was nice to be downloading at ISDN speed on a dial up line, but I wonder how it happened. ???

I'm not complaining either, but I always thought that you could never get past 56k on a regular phone line, unless the phone company opened up another channel for you.

Does anyone know how this might of happened???

Did you watch the file size being downloaded ? Because once i had 23kb/s per second and i watched the file size being downloaded and it did increase 23 kb/s, but once it said like 115 kb/s and i watched the size and it only increase byt 5kb/s.

So yeah i had 23 kb/s . I hope i'll get that speed soon again. And if you download from a guy who has a T1 line and is not being used by other people you'll get a faster download speed.

That happens more then you would think. The faster the connection the person your Downloading off the higher you can get yours. It Boasts your speed.

I don't want to ever hear another person in there life say that they need to get from behind there monitor. There are a couple reasons one. Nooooooooo

2. I am the only person that should do that. Let me explain. No joke... I lost a day while on my Computer. Or rather yet I gained a day somewhere that didn't exist.

All I know is that I took a nap one day. I woke up and it was still that day. Well with a crap load of days of me not sleeping. Somewhere I added a day on in the week. I for about 1 week thought I was a day ahead.

Luckly I did'nt have to work. I didn't figure out I was a day ahead until a friend asked me to go to out with them and I said don't you have to go to work tomorrow.

Of course the reply why would I go to work on Sunday.

nah that was just a summer job (which i walked out on cause they were making me work 15hr days) since then have worked for the largest telecommunications company in the UK - moved to Glasgow - started living with Fiancee and am now working as a dreaded telesales agent ;)

but am looking to return to uni soon - well first to college to do a HND in media and webdesign
bit basic but its a full time 2yr course - and if you earn enough merits (through assignments) you can jump into 3rd yr degree course in same a local uni

so hoping if i can get in I can compress it down to a yr (just sit the basic assigments straight away as I know the stuff for them) and get myself caught up to where i should be by now at uni :)
