Well, I have 98SE and everything has been fine and dandy for a long time in terms of stability. Most crashes and errors always seem to be caused by third-party programs with errors in them, rather than the OS itself.

How did you accomplish all these things in real life with your(judging by posts) excessively crude and belligerent attitude? Or is the 'net a special case in terms of self-expression? I found an interesting book at the library a few days ago, I think it was "The Psychology of the Internet". A pretty interesting read.

So why the anger? Was it the Microsoft bashing? General OS opinions? Or a collective annoyance at AO? If you really feel this way about the people here in general, why did you sign up? Is it worth it to spend all your time angry and bitter?

I think that win ME and 98 are the best until now.

Actually, there is a way to make WinME somewhat more stable. Find a copy of 98Pro (you can use 98Lite). Do a micro install using Win95. Not only does it make the O/S a little bit more stable, it also screams on low end systems.

Micro install? how does installing win 95 make win me more stable

It is an option that is available when 98Pro is used to install WinME. It replaces the WinME version of explorer.exe with the 95 version and forces compatability.

relax....I was just checking to see how insecure you guys are and to see if you could take it as well as dish it out. I actually like this site.I was blowing off some pent up anger at poeple who expect progammers to do miracles. Like we have the forsight to consider every possible situation. If I did i would play the Fl lotto and never look at a computer screen again. I guess no one else can relate to my verbal vomit :D

To answer the only salient question ask me ,I like WinME a little bit for two reasons .
