Of course the classic: "Where is the any key".
The one's that bug me are the one's that don't know parts from parts.
Caller: My computer crashed.
Me: What is your system?
Caller: A computer.
Me: What brand or type is it? PC or Mac.
Caller: I don't know, it has a hard drive slot on the front.
Me: You mean a c/d drive, a tray that slides out and you can put cd rom disks in it or computer software?
Caller: No it's not. My Brothers kid said it's a hard drive and he uses computers at school. So he knows what it is. It takes music disks, but he said it was a hard drive.
Me: (Being polite and moving on so not to correct her and start an argument) Ok then. What size processor and memory does it have? What operating system do you have?
Caller: It's a 64 Mb Intel with Office 97 on it.
On, and on, and on, and on, and on. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to figure out she had turned it off without shutting down. So when Scan Disk started on reeboot she would panic and kill the power because her brothers kid told her it was "The Blue Screen Of Death".
