Here goes!
Liran -- I can't find the meaning... if you know it, let me know, and then I'll get to work on it.
Laguna -- Linya from Quenya 'pool'
Linus -- 'flaxen colored'; Quenya malina 'yellow' (close enough to flaxen), laime 'shade', so our good buddy Linus is Malinalaimon
-
Now let's go for a hard one:
Eairdsidh
HINT: think gaeilge
-
Um... no. I'm not gonna even attempt that one. WAAAY too low vowel:consonant ratio to be understandable.
-
It's gaelic for Archie, pronounced ERR-shee. Gaeilge is rather odd when it comes to pronunciation.
Since you didn't go for that one, let's try:
Adara
HINT: Arabic
-
Maybe later... I'm going to bed... Good nite.
-
-
PhirePhreak when you wake up... try Glenn (male - I was informed that this spelling was the feminin- does that make me a cross dresser?)
Cheers
-
Victor -- from the Latin 'conqueror'; Quenya mapar 'seizer', so Mapar or also the Quenya Nacil 'victor', so that'd make it Nacil. Your choice.
And now Glenn (from the name Glen) -- from the Celtic 'A secluded, woody valley'; Quenya taure 'great wood forest', nande 'valley', so it'd be something like Taurenando(n)
I'm off to church now... maybe I'll get back to work on this when I get home.
God bless,
--Eruntalon
