How many muslim nations permit opposition political parties to exist?
How many of them have independent (non-government) newspapers

civilization, and its long tradition of openness and debate.
Ever since Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of
the Wittenberg Church, Christian civilization has been moving more
and more toward the freedom of individual conscience, even
when this tolerance makes us appear stupid and weak.
But you would be mistaken to take our tolerance for weakness,
or our openness as evidence of decadence. Islam is a dying faith.
Give the people of an islamic nation the right to choose their
own beliefs, and half of them would choose a different religion.

The U.S wouldnt have to use such measures if it werent for the ignorance of the middle east leadership...many in the middle east exalt such character's such as Arafat and Hussien what more needs to be said our efforts are not in vain and much more should be done to bring the truth to the young minds in the middle east who may not want to be decieved by their dictators.

You know, people use this all the time to describe those who disagree with Israel's occupation of Palestine, or who are not particularly fond of Jews, as if it only describes the Jewish people. But it actually encompasses all the Semitic-speaking people of northern Africa and the Near East, including the Hebrews and the Arabs. Yet people constantly use it to describe only Jewish people. An Arab (bimmer for example) could hardly be an anti-semite...Quote:

i live in jordan, more than 90% of jordanian are Palestinian originated , like me, and more than 60% of them are 1948 and the rest are 1967.
and i can assure you that we will not accept to join palestin to jordan.
and israel should know that they are fighting only 30% of the palestinian, who lives in palestine, but the rest 70% lives out, jordan, cairo, usa, canada, autralia, newzealand, italy, we are every where.

This is turning into nothing more than a mud-slinging match based on personal views. It accomplishes nothing and only incites hatred and broadens the ethnic gap between people. This is very reminiscent of the Yahoo Message Boards, with posts that exceed 250,000 and still no one can agree on the subject at hand.
You can dismiss my post if you like. But this thread could go on and on with nothing resolved in the end.
The internet is the greatest source of information. Use it. The web doesn't end at CNN.
Bimmer you're right about muslims not converting to Chrisitanity. I think it's because Christians are free to decide and muslims get stoned, shamed and/or killed if they try to do that.
