Well... Continuing with the way this thread is going, I am going to flame a bunch of people with no supporting facts and still say that I am right and no one else can possibly be right because I am right and I am always right because I'm right.

Now the next number is really complicated, mainly because you have run out of fingers... but I can help you here.... Take off your shoes and socks and continue on down there..... See, this **** is pretty easy...... eleven is the next number, it looks like this - 11). After last time I am surprised that you mention counting in a discussion about the presidential elections :D :p
I think that problem probably reduced the foreign perception of the president no matter who won.
On the other hand, I don't see much "Bush bashing" over here, but that is probably a "British thing"
I remember when Lyndon Johnson was president, and there was a satirical play called "LadyMcB", vaguely based on Shakespeare's MacBeth.
It was refused permission to be performed over here because it "demeaned the head of state of a friendly nation".................how about that for censorship?

We can't get away from Bush bashing over here.... Though I have to admit that Kerry seems to be taking a bit of a pasting obver the Swift boats, his stories about Vietnam and Cambodia and his, frankly, traitorous activities after returning from there.....
Basically though, it's a pretty standard election year.... :rolleyes:

Well, in an attempt to get us back on topic --
1) As it was said, it's media tactics. There are plenty of Bush-lovers out there, but they're not quite so worthy of airtime.
2) As with many liberal tactics, people hop on board because bashing Bush is trendy and looks cool...which is why so many have no clue what they're actually talking about. "Rebel without a clue" as it is...
3) Bush isn't special, every president has been widely bashed. My previous example was Clinton, who's still bashed quite regularly even today. Anyone in that high an office in full view of the public eye is going to inevitably get a good bashing from some enormous group of people or another.
So I think the question is a little misleading..."Why is Bush so widely bashed more than any other President?" Well, remember, consider your age. For one, you probably weren't into the political scene during the Clinton years (bravo if you were at such a young age), so this is really the first time you've seen the popular presidential bashing that's been going on since the beginning of the office. Just goes with the job.
I am finishing up with "Unfit for Command" and Kerry sure has quite a few questions to answer. The proof is undeniable. The problem for Kerry: Unfit for COmmand was not even written to bash him...instead to bring the truth out and show the facts. Unfortunately for Kerry, the facts go againts what Kerry is saying during his campaign and its not looking too good for him right now.Quote:

I think Kerry realizes that, he's sent the deomcratic litigation wolves on them. So much for the free speech everyone on that side screams about. ABC had some dude on the news that is down in Texas screaming at Bush's ranch that the republicans MUST denounce the Attack Adds, he was using the traditional old school liberal finese, you know screaming like a preacher. I laughed, because the white house already did that, in fact it was on several front page newspapers at the cafe haus, which I found odd since only negative comment by Bush get front page news. But you see this favors the Kerry campaign and makes us all think the adds have no base by typing in huge letters on the front page:

So what is the dude doing down in Texas getting air time on ABC radio news spots? And now the hourly news is filled with reports of all these people marching on the GOP convention. Not much of a peep during the Democratic convention was there? There were people at the event but they were caged and ignored. Bush bashing gets the attention, thus as always since the 60s once side beats on the other until the other fights back then gets sued. So NO Bush isn't the worst hated president and on top of that opinions are formed based on media outlets who have a motive to sway your own thinking to align to theirs.
Grr! Exactly! Another reason why I'm not liberal: "It's not okay unless we're doing it!" Liberals are always whining "free seech! no censorship!" until the free speech is against them, then it's "lawsuit!" In other words, censorship is bad...unless, of course, you're censoring conservatives.

I've tried to at least respect Kerry since he's a generally patriotic guy if nothing else, but this kinda thing makes it considerably harder.
And thank you for the point well made about the media. If Fox News is in a seat of such great power as I keep hearing, then the liberal CNN and Co. must be the Galactic Empire.
