I'm pretty sure that that's not even possible... I think it would be smarter to hide you from this thread, rather than to hide this thread from you anyway...Quote:

Hmmmm,
That is why it is called an online forum......................that is what they do, and this site has improved rather than declined in its coverage.Quote:
Every single topic discussed on this forum only skims the surface of a much, much deeper, detailed field of study. Not to mention anything computer related isn't even a priority around here in the first place.
AO is a community and a discussion forum...............it does not deal with "in depth analyses" and it NEVER HAS. You cannot give a "detailed study" in a couple of hundred words?
When people are young, naiive, and impressionable, everythingg seems wonderful and marvellous. Problem is that life changes and there comes a time to grow up and move on.
That is one of the cold hard facts of life I am afraid.
Hell, I am as nostalgic as the next, if not more so, but at least I can face reality.
OT/ Maybe "loverboy" will get a DATE now? :D /
Like nihil says...we grow up...and tend to focus on the good things/times...so the past always looks better than it really was...
before he passed to hear my father talk about the war...it was the best time he ever had...great friends...great laughs...free food...crowds cheering...
I'm sure it was a blast ;)

Nagative apparently doesn't care about what the majority of people think. In his pseudo-reality bubble HIS perspective is the only one that counts. This is why so many people have left the forum that it is going broke. gore and nihil had the restraint to let things be. Although it was a sub-conscience instinct that gave them the understanding that healthy venting can sometimes be a good thing.Quote:
P.S. - Who banned Terrr? Why ban Terrr? Looking at his 3 green dots I can only assume that the majority of people liked him a bit more than they disliked him.
As for the site going broke ...just take a look at the "online users" option.
Do you see how many actual "users" are online?
Also take note of how slow the posting activity is. Advertisers do.
They also make a note of how a dronish nazi of a moderator can arbitrarily go against the collective will.

Anyone who has over 10,000 post on ANY online forum displays a true lack of ability to "face reality"Quote:

WTF...is your point anyway's? you didn't like it around here enough to stay and contribute before, why all of a sudden now this shite....to stir it perhaps.....or are you trying to set a new account ban record.... :D
True!Quote:

That's another one to add to the list already containing the oh-so-common "grammer" and "nazi" arguments... I'm sure psychologists have a nice name for someone who always believes to be speaking for the majority.Quote:

They certainly have a term for one who thinks that he is somehow more "enlightened" than the majority. It is called a meglomaniac with delusions of granduer.Quote:

There is a right we have in America that isn't too well known in the fascist regimes of europe.
It is called freedom of speech.
I wonder how long THAT will last..hahaQuote:
I didn't ban him as I just got home, though a little investigation pulled up multiple accounts. The other is still un-banned.
I really wonder about the youth of today?...............like that is less than 9 posts per day?.........now, if you accept that most posts are not "one liners" then you really have to accept that they are not more than around 100 words each.............at least as a working average?Quote:

So, 10,000*100 =1,000,000 words. My wife can WP at 100Wpm or better which gives us 10,000 minutes..............or about 167 hours, which is just under a week.
I have a much greater moral fibre than to have that affect my personal life. Hell's teeth, there are secretaries downtown who would do that in a month of 9 to 5?............ top secretaries can hit 180Wpm or better ;)
It seems to me that you skipped Math as well as English Language? :D
Actually, I think that it is "philosophers", and the word is "nihilism" :pQuote:
