Oh yeah, tech support's idea of troubleshooting here is rebooting. They don't have the slightest clue of what they're doing. It provides me some entertainment.

Not neccessarily true? It depends a lot on your user community? It can be pretty difficult when you haven't a clue what the user might have done..and they will never admit to it anyways? :DQuote:

The real test is what do they do after the reboot when it comes up with the same problem?
I will take a wild guess......................reformat and reinstall the OS?............pretty standard procedure in my experience.
The real problem is that the employer generally won't pay to train the users in the apps they are given, and there is certainly no budget to train the support guys? If they did not spec and roll out the apps, they really have no chance?
As for the ties...................you need a collection of the wildest, vilest, ones you can get your hands on...............it won't be long before they beg you to wear a roll-neck :D
