I wonder why cant they just send someone like James Bond to kill Osama?? lolz.. i mean CIA, FBI and NSA is filled with Secret Agents, not to mention the British Secret Service.. why cant they send couple of their people to assassinate or atleast capture Bin Laden?

ok, where there many jews living in the 'holy land' prior to 1948 when the UN decided to give give it to the jews.

im under the impression that their was a mass migration of jews into england and palistine after the war. england didn't want this and pushed vary hard in the UN to give the jews a homeland. there by relieving them of the responsibility.
if their claim to the land is only biblical. the american indian has more right to claim back manhatten.

This has got to be bullshit, nothing can ever be this simple. so cut and dry. But for many reasons, some good some bad, my life has been spent just trying to keep a roof over my head and food in my mouth. Which dosn't leave much time to delve into internetional affairs. which too me has always been the luxury/hobby of the affluent.

Actually, if we get abck to 1945, the allies were pretty shocked about what they found out from teh conc camp, the freed jew that escaped the death camp decided to exile from europ where they had been sold out (that is the simple truth, all the euroeen countries under hitler's domnination got ride of the jewish population) They always talk about the one guy that helped that one jew that escaped, but they don't talk abou the rest that were pointing in the jews direction.... Schindler's list is the typical exeption... they were glad to get ride of teh jew maybe they didn't realize what would happen to them afterwards but they did not care much... so the jews that had gently complied to all the injunction from their gov (when told to wear the david star, they did, when told to put in their shop they did ...) got a major distrust out of all the europeen govs they deiced to leave and go back to jerusalem, where the few jews that were there were inviting the refugee .... the europeen nation including the allies were glad to hear that and supported them all the way... (they would get ride of them legally, no violence, no remorse) and they were out of here... now where do you put a couple million people ? certainly not right in your country... they could have splitted germany in 3 and reservedd a jewish nation there .... not like the german could have said no... but still given the strong antisemite sentiment which is still alive, they decided to send them far far away where no one would complain... ie the remaining of the turquish empire that had gone under british colonial rule ... a couple years later the phenomena got so bug taht in 1947 isreal was recognized by the un, (the arab countri could not do anything they were still colonized) then the war and then the present.....
basically it come down to the cowardice of the europeen that that whole pile of **** is going on and why they keep on paying them reparations ... and why whenever anyone says anything against isreal (at least in the media in france) there is only one reaction " you are an antisemite" no matter on what you say...

jcmcb: Ok, let me put it this way then. Our tv stations here in sweden have four reporters permanently based in Israel, three of them grew up there and have jewish backgrounds. Try searching on stuff connected to the Israeli-Palestinian matter and what shows? .il or overseas jewish organisations. The "independant" papers reporting on the matters refer to Israeli occupied territories as "disputed lands", illegal settlements as Israeli homes and so on. And try to find info on the bombing of King David Hotel.. wonder why it´s not talked about alot? Or that we never read about the "guerilla" (terrorist) war the jews fought against the British in the 40´s (in school that is).
KorpDeath: So if PLO are terrorists, what does that make America and Israel? They got bigger guns so that´s alright then? I´d stretch as far as guerilla. If they were still actively operating, looks more like they are trying to hold everything together while the Israelis are bombing the crap out of them. Way to go, cut of the head of the only thing that could get things to cool down.
If the Israelis were serious about a peace treaty they should not have been building more "settlements" during cease fire. (and it was against a UN resolution)

I dunno.. the whole thing gives me a sour taste in my mouth. Everyone trying to maneuver for a better position the whole time. But what if the US stopped their annual monetary support (6 billions) and used the money to stop **** comming in and out from Israel. Israel would still have the bigger and better guns but would be forced to consider ending their war. And if nothing came in or out, terrorist groups like HAMAS and the rest would have trouble getting equipment.
Basically a, you two get in that room and don´t let me see your stupid asses until you´ve reached some sort of agreement, kinda thing.
Maybe moving the American bases to Jordania (not gonna happen but could be good) and be smack in the middle of things. US can survey everything that´s going on. Be able to help Israel in case of an emergency. Palestinians wouldn´t get their kids shoot.
Stupid suggestion, yes. But maybe, just maybe something could happen. As the situation looks now.. it´s bad but it can always get worse.
*edit addendum* Just thought that I´d throw in a small incendiary about Sharon aswell. Maybe the source is a "bit" biased but Sharon is currently wanted in Belgium on account of war crimes. Here

Pooh, i was under the impression that the us had threatened sanctions against israel for that. thats just what i got from tv. and i couldn't agree with you more. i don't think we should be funding anyones aggression, or anyones war for that matter.
sanctions have been threatened before but never carried out so this really is nothing, your right. But by the biggest supporter of the un, i meant with money.
after sept 11 israel started crying here "oh, now the us is going to stop supporting us". "were being blamed for the whole thing" blah, blah blah. and they got a reasurance from the us gov. otherwise. Shortly after that things there started heating up big time .
i think its time for a change in politics here. i find alot of people here, feel the same way. which is why i feel so threatened by people like duke. only about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks ago, a friend of my girlfriends family, handed me pamplets and info from the john birch socity. here! in ny!
Has America payed their debts to the UN yet? Anyone who knows? Al figures I can find is either from -99 or anti-UN lobby groups.
