I can assure you I will be monitoring this cam myself at night for a while to see if this happens again, too bad it takes so much HD space to leave it recording all night.

except it is so not a laser pointer directed at a webcam lens... if you guys hold on I'll show you what that looks like.....

Cool, make sure you recreate the light conditions.... I used my glasses but you could be right it may show different on a CCD lens.

Is there a timestamp as to when this happened or a general idea as to when this happened? Did it repeat itself in the course of the night or just a single occurrence?

I am not responsible for setting up the cam, I think it is set to record in intervals throughout the night, this wasn't noticed until long after it was recorded and it was just by chance that this happened at all, my friend who owns this establishment thought I was playing a joke on him. He was working on configuring the recording process and did a playback and saw this, I was greeted with an e-mail this morning when I got to the store with a comment something like "are you messing around or something, if so this is NOT FUNNY!"

Uhmm... If you are implying that I don't have the orbs to stay the night there, then you are mistaken. I am not afraid of ghost/orbs or anything I can see, unless maybe if it materialised and pointed a 44mag at me or something equally ominous. I might stay the night there and monitor the cam from the back room if I think there is a chance of actually witnessing this phenomenon.

ok.... here we go.. low level lighting... it's not an especially brilliant webcam I'll give you that but it gives you an idea of what you might expect

Avi 1 is the laser pointer shining at a slight angle but directly into the camera lens and being moved back and forth (not easy to keep steady as you can see). You can see when the laser hits the lens full on you more or less get a total wipeout... (and if you look carefully you might be able to see the circular grain of the lens)

Avi 2 is an attempt to show you what you'll see if the laser is pointing at a wall and being filmed. The wall is about 10 feet (approx 3m) away from the webcam - as you can see (look closely!) the laser dot is minute... it certainly is nowhere near the size of the 'thing' shown on aellisons video... indicating that whatever the size of this thing is it's not actually all that small.

I can try and do a better video if anyone wants me too but I think this shows the general gist.

Having said this I'm not saying I believe these orbs are real - they may be, I'm keeping an open mind as there are more things in heaven and earth etc etc (I've also had a few experiences of this type and yeah it is spooky as hell) - but I find it pays to be erring on the sceptical side with these kind of things

Anyway Aellison... if you do manage to get another look at these things I'd love to see the video..... wish I could come over and help study it cos this type of stuff interests me.
