Yes I did hear that. Amazing rhetoric.
http://cgi.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/12/cheney.kerry/Quote:
Kerry spokesman Phil Singer told CNN the Democratic candidate was referring to cooperation with allies. President Bush himself, Singer said, used the word "sensitive" in a similar context in March 2001, when he said the United States should be "sensitive about expressing our power and influence."
Sensitive Quote for Bush:
http://www.reagan.navy.mil/bush_speech.htm
Not much of a comparrison given Bush's speech was made 2 years before the major part of the war started and NOW, during a campaign, Kerry saying something stupid while trying to appease a specific interest group by saying we should fight a sensitive war while troops are dying trying to keep radicals from taking over the interim government of Iraq no matter where the "sensitivity" is directed. I am guilty of the most grotesque abuse of run-on sentencing.
Roadclosed: The main point of the statement was to say that maybe the people who posted above that assumed Kerry was talking about being a sissy or sensitive to Al-Qaida should maybe try to think about what he was saying. (Instead of assuming) I understand that anything you might say can be taken 5 million different ways, but I was just trying to point out that the meaning of the speech could of been something different then what they assumed.
Or perhaps they really believe he will place restrictions on engagement that are even stricter, ala vietnam style. Tie their hands so to speak. He already stated he wants to pull 20,000 troops back.
So, again the lessons of the past are not being learned. An army can not function with one hand tide behind it's back.Quote:

Unrelated, sort of: You know I was pissed off at my local primaries this week, all the people complaining and twisting facts and agendas to get "their" hero elected. Then like national elections, days of pissing and moaning and threats at legal action.... I came up with an idea the goes directly against the constitution. ALL people in local, state and federal governments ARE NO longer able to vote on elections at ANY level. They have their own interests at heart ABOVE the collective people. They use old rivalry and miscommunication as a tool to decieve and manipulate and it takes alot of effort to see through the political mask. So from now on NO VOTING. Sounds good? Eliminates the largest special interest group? Do I get to vote in favor of raising my own paycheck? Hell no.Quote:

Hehe....
Now Kerry has had to "amend" his statement that he claimed was "seared" on his mind where he said he was in Cambodia at Christmas in 1968 and was under fire from both the Viet Cong and the Khmer Rouge. His amended statement, after it was pointed out that he couldn't have been there at that time, now reads January 1969.
Dying to hear how he intends to amend the statement about the Khmer Rouge shooting at him since they weren't committed until 1971.......
I smell Bull Doody everywhere Mr. Kerry goes......
[Sorry, can't find the links.... Heard it on the radio.... But it is published somewhere... I'm just too stupid to be able to find it I guess..... :p ]
