Page three girl was always nice with coffee in the morning paper. I used to live north of London and although it was nice to see a few bosums on TV, there wasn't any good pron anywhere to be found. So I have a negative comment about the brits, "Wheres the pron people!" I used to see many activist protests in Trafalger Square but I never saw any "We want pron" signs, even though Soho was a bit up the street. Stand up and fight for your rights! I have to admit though Razzle was nice. :D

Our rights are **** now. People bash Clinton, but he never pulled the **** that is being done now. Republicans are rubber stamping most anything. The Constitution is a joke now and most likely forever on in the future. The US is starting to turn into a more and more Dictitorial/Police state.

Well, lets see- here in the United States they aren't allowed to show nudity but graphic violence is OK. Seems askew?

I mean nudity- not porn and not blatant sex per se, but just nudity in and of itself is perfectly natural yet forbidden on U.S. TV. Grotesque, bloody, graphic scenes of death and murder- or people being shot and tortured are not natural (I supposed one could argue that) and yet are allowed - turn on any channel, any night just about.

I would have to agree with the European method. Europe is more lax about sex and drugs and yet seems to have fewer problems in that realm than we do. Maybe there is a relationship- maybe not. There are too many variables to draw a direct correlation.

However, whether one is a fan of Clinton, Bush or neither- I don't think that the debate over our rights as American citizens or what the appropriate response to terrorist attacks is should digress to a my country is better than your country debate.

Some have made exceptionally valid arguments and points I don't even agree with, but can respect for the opinions that they are. They are intelligent and coherent and worthy of me devoting time to considering and weighing against my own opinions. However- it seems that most of the posts on this thread are just ridiculous drivel and mindless statements from ignorant or uneducated people trying to express opinions when they haven't even devoted sufficient time on educating themselves to form one.

Before I go on id like to let you all know, so you can take me with a grain of salt, that im still mad about the mandatory wearing of helmets while riding a motorcycle. I mean it’s my life to squander or conserve as I see fit. However one the arguments against the law at the time is in a way relevant to what’s happening today:

If we pass a law making it mandatory to wear helmets on MCs the next thing will be a law making it mandatory to wear them on bicycles” This statement was scoffed at…ridicules!

Then came EZ-pass. The transmissions from the transducers were to be encrypted so no one could get any information on the owners of the cars thus preserving his/her privacy. Not too long after this statement was made speeding tickets started getting mailed to EZ-Pass users, who got from point A to point B too fast. What did the troopers do call the f&#$ing phycic hot line? Im not saying that this was the intended purpose of ezpass…but some bright one saw the possibilities…..and there will always be some bright one who sees the possibilities

Now I hear them saying surveillance technology will not be used to monitor and track the American people. That it will only be used while there is a threat of terrorism (which could be forever anyway). I say BULL…SHIT!!!

All that one needs to do is look at the promises of our leaders to know that… where you think something could go IS where its going….no matter what they say.

If all the profits from gambling were going into education we’d have the smartest kids the human race could ever produce.

They lie to us. They tell us whatever will keep us quit until what they want is in place. There’s not much we can do about anything once its in place.

Now they’re attacking the freedom of the press. If they can do this with Lamo…they can do this with anyone. Freedom of the press will be thrown out the window because nobody will feel safe in telling the truth to the press. Once that happens the government will be free to do whatever they want without fear of the truth being told by an anonymous source. The bright ones will have their day.

I for one am for taking a stand now, while precedence is still on our side rather than become one of those walking around angry with a sign on a stick mourning the loss of my freedom. Its our country…lets use our system and take it back!

I don’t care that we may have it better than some other countries. That’s not a good reason to give anything up. Giving it up will not make their lives any better it will only make mine that much worse. I have it…I appreciate it….I want to keep it!

If it turns out that what the majority wants…security at such a cost… then so be it but they have to be told the truth to make a valid decision.

Lets try to realize that nobody here lives in a perfect country, so the idea here should be to learn. To learn you have to talk with people who have a differdent opinion or else all you can accomplish is reinforcing what you think you already know.

The fact that people would rather call names than admit there is a problem, and try to find neutral ground, says that our country is in a bad state.
