Thanks for bringing up the points you've raised and acting the way you have. Seems like you've given the community a crystal clear view of why this forum is needed. What was intended to be a serious and insightful discussion degraded into a cesspool of insults, idiocy and hatefulness all because someone decided to be an ass. What's wrong man? You USED to make an effort to contribute....now you sit on a high horse and spout venom and bile, making trouble wherever you see an opening.

You came into this discussion with a chip on your shoulder Jack, and you know it. Your attitude then gets singled out (which was a mistake) and all it gets us is MORE attitude. Quite simply (due to the way you are acting), people like YOU are the reason we need a forum that EXCLUDES people like you. I'm sick and tired of post-whoring nitwits and people who never got over AO being sold doing everything they can to tear down these forums. So what if AO isn't what it USED TO BE?? It can be BETTER if everyone gives it their best shot. The problem is that you would rather be TAKING shots at AO. The way I see it, you fall into one of two categories when considering AO's supposed "downhill turn"....you're either part of the problem or part of the solution. The way you are going about things isn't solving anything. If you don't like what I've suggested then let's hear what you think would improve the quality of AO. Come on...it's time to put your money where your mouth is....put up or shut up.

If you never tell anyone exactly what you think is wrong with 'AO' and what YOU think could improve things, then none of the rest of us know anything except what you have already complained about.

Why don't you start a new thread that explains your take on the subject and what you would like to see done about it. It could be a valuable discussion. One alot of us might learn something from, or at least be forced to consider anouther stand on the issues.

True, knowing you it probably would turn into a huge flame war, so put it in Cosmos where there is not suppose to be antipoint given.

I think it would at least be an extreamly entertaining and prolific discussion.

OK...it's been almost a month and it looks like the flames have FINALLY died down. Jack spoke his piece and made quite a few of his detractors understand where he was coming from, myself included. Back to the original subject at hand...is this do-able....is it worth doing....is it in the works or has it been shelved, relegated to file 13 or what? The poll response was positive but I'm curious as to what JupMed has decided...

Hrmm, I'm interested in JUPM's response as well. I think it's a great idea and get's my vote to be implemented.

After reading through this entire thread, I too agree there needs to be a place for intelligent thought. I myself may not have yet made the requirements for entry, but it would give me a goal to reach for. I have voted in the poll, and I wish for a response from JM as well.

I did not see this thread until today, I suppose I have seen it now because of the upgrades that have been added to this site. Like the one I had suggested twice now about being able to choose what I see on the front page. :D

Someone had mentioned in this thread that the improvements that are being made to this site are mostly insignificant. I can't agree on that at all. I was here before JP sold this site to JM. I have to say that I never liked JP, and until it was purchased by JM, it was simply a bridge that trolls hid under. I like AO a whole lot more now than ever. My $.02...
