Well, i guess i have a silly answer then. I'm not invading some foreign land with the false pretext of looking for WMD and fighting for freedom, I don't have to bear the cultural clash, trying to understand the differences in culture, religion, language, habits...I see my family almost everyday and I'm able to come home and be workfree. I don't have to wait for somebody to send me toilet paper from overseas, I have a vest, and my paycheck is taxed...which sucks. I drive to work listening to my favorite radio station. The budget for the war that i fight does not drain out other national resources that are in much need of attention, I don't sleep worrying about bombs being dropped over my head, I have no idea how to use those and I don't have to and I just spent 40 minutes listening to my son babling agoogoodahdah drooling over my pijamas and now I'm taking him to the park... fair enough?

But.... aside from the political differences we might have about the reasons for the war you still accept the fact that you don't have the intestinal fortitude to do the job that some of us do or did.

That aside, I'll guarantee you that if the "public safety" budget of every hamlet, town and city of the USA were added up it would come very close to the cost of Iraq's freedom....

The question then is:- What price do _you_ put on freedom? It seems a lot cheaper for you than me..... I believe in it for all people.... You believe in it for the Good old USA and the rest can go to hell in a handbasket... or, at least, thats the impression you seem to give. Freedom costs.. but it benefits all... Your "solution" allows anyone outside the USA to plan, implement and execute, over time, a "solution" that will limit or remove _your_ freedom completely.... That's OK for you... Keep that head in the sand..... with enough practice you will be able to disappear into Death Valley and feel happy.... Frankly I, and many others, both on this board and in this country, seem to disagree with you and would rather not be relegated to the life of a desert nomad.

A man who sent hundreds of thousands of young men and women without a plan of getting them out.... and we are dropping like flies....did you ever see that poster they made of the faces of soldiers that have died in iraq since this war started? it's heartbreaking. Every little pixel there is someone important to someone. How about the hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties in iraq? Seems to me that the inflated ego, and short visioned one is in the White House. Yes, 9/11 was a tragedy, and the mastermind behind it is still out there. But we turned all of our resources and manpower to the other side. Suddenly iraq was a risk to our national security...bologni man! We got north Korea now with nukes probably pointed right at us, we got Iran with nukes and everytime we step over another country and try to police the world regardless of what anyone thinks, we make another enemy. Our nation is becoming isolated. You're not defending my freedom, you're jeopardizing it!
