what the **** are you talking about? please rephraise this.
You can get certain distrobutions that can run on windows. such as phatlinux and others. take a look on http://ldl.sourceforge.net
err... I'm disappointed with you two... c'mon gore and phish... you should know that you can install linux to fat32... it's not very good and their is a huge performance hit but you can do it... described for RH here
http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...tallation.html
and here

I don't know about other flavours of linux and I don't know what you want to use ha-lf but it can be done. I haven't used RH for some time but the above seem relatively straightforward.

"I do not want the usable space of my disk to shrink in Windows"

Ah, I was not aware that you could do that. Learn something new everyday. I guess I should have searched for that b4 I posted.... :p
Thanks for the info. I had never tried it.
try pygmy linux. it runs on fat16 or fat32 filesystem. god! if i would have a 4Gb HDD and not 1Gb... but even with this harddrive i run slacware 9.0 (750 Mb) and win 95 (250 Mb)
Running linux on fat32 is slower then a fat guy with two broken legs. Execept when erasing files

I meant that if I repartitioned my disk I would only be able to use 2gig of it in Windows and the other 2gig in Linux. I want the 4gig to be accessible from both operatingsystems
