Can SOMEBODY pleaaase translate this one for me??? Windows smells like ****? Hey, Windows should be used in your house, not in your stable. What are you using it for? To clean your stables? I guess the bigger the box, the easier it is to clean your stables with. Don't know about XP's box size, though...
I think he is confusing Windows and ****. Perhaps he/she was buying some composs from Microsoft and they gave him a demo version of Windows 95 or something :p Like they use to give away demos of OS/2
As for Windows XP, damn, I just got Windows 2000 and it works fine, no problems. I gotta upgrade again :mad: , good thing I get all of these for free :eek:

Well Windows, ah MS-DOS. Memories of wait, whats that partitioning my hard drive. Wait its some kind of Linux.
You all have to respect some aspect of Windows [Personal Favourite Windows 98]. We all know 90% of Pc owners are running Windows and its a fact a lot of hackers do. Its an escape from hard computer studies, learning the next programming language, studying damn exploits, whatever.
Windows is an ok, unsecure but still ok OS, real hackers dont abandon Windows just because they run Linux or FreeBSD, its still a good OS.
Linux is better, by far and gives us a more secure feel, thats the only reason Irun Linux, Im a hacker.

Windows 2000 and other Windows platforms are not very good! I turn my nose up to them all.
I feel Windows XP will be the best.

Im not sure why ppl always knock windows, calling it an "unsecure OS". im not speaking about exchange or IIS, as i dont know enough about those systems, but i do know that due to the *openness and user friendly environment that MS deploys by default, (which could attribute to their huge dominance of the market) does not make it an unsecure OS, that would be poor administration of the system. most of these "unsecure" boxes are also run by full-time secretary/part-time IT Admin. when properly set up, windows is quite secure.

Is XP really the best? Enlighten me ppl, because I was under the impression that XP was the worst MS OS ever. Did I understand the **** with registration right? Is it really true XP sends info about usage etc to MS? Enlighten me!

As I read my last reply I realized that I sound like I am supporting what phantom2k was saying. Just for the record I do not. I was only trying to translate his babble.
As far as Win XP I am not sure I like the new registration rules. If it works anything like Offixe XP we will only be required to give non personal information, but who is to say the code isn't getting other information from the registry and passing it to MS. An OS that monitors what hardware upgrade I perform. I am not sold no matter how well the OS operates.:mad:
Love it or hate it, but Windows 95's Registration Wizard already checked your pc for about 150 software titles and sent the list to Redmond. I started a new thread to ad(d) your own...
Nearly everyone I have talked to about winXP said the same thing.
Its great, and never crashes.
This reminds me of when win2K came out, everyone said the same thing about it.
Then 4 months later, thier win2k systems started crashing all the time.

Good point knight, My question is, Why does Microsoft constantly rush to put out Products that they Damn well know are full of possible Exploits? When They were approached regarding the possible "negative" uses for Winxp, they simply denied the fact that they were
1. Setting up users with a system that is extrmely vulnerable
(I do appreciate that heheh)
2. Rushing it onto the market because the needed a product that users wanted in response to the disaster of WinMe. Win 98 is as far as I have gone,as the rest are crap. I will get XP though.

Just thought I would add that Microsoft trying to gather user info is not any thing new even the chipsets on intel motherboards are sending user data every time u access the interne, and the only way to stop them is to download a patch from the microsoft web site. Also from what I can tell Winxp is goin to have verry few security fetures that will really pose a chalange to a serious hacker. By the way quick survey what is everyones favorite OS? Mine is Win98. :D

Ever wonder why they charge $80 at CompUSA for a distro of Linux? It's a free OS, but Mandrake 8.1 was $80, so I said f*** that, I'll download it. Took a whole day at 100K/bytes sec to download that thing (3 gigs). Even a free OS still makes money, so it must all be about the $$$$ :(
Damn if it wasnt for money driven companies there would be a lot less products on the market, the internet would be a desolate place and Bill Gates would be an IRC cop.

I don't belive you have the background nor experience to say what is '****' or not '****'. You just like windows XP because of the skins. You are a visual person. You have a very tough time learning and using command line-based OSs so you probably have not even tried any others. You are just trying to fit in with all the other 'hackers' that bash m|cR0$of7.

That single post has so far given me the most hassle of all I have made, in fact me and Galdron ended up in a bit of a flame war which was sorted out. Im sure he has still some annoyances with me as I may with him but we realise that you cannot pick every bone or line aperson posts.
Sftlook and Prof I have no problem with you too so long as you add valid points as I have seen you do before.
Anyway by this post I meant I would not run Linux if I wasnt a hacker, if I was not interested in security I would not care for Linux. If I had no interest in the basics of programming I try learn I would not use Linux. I would simply run Windows. I am not elite hacker who has any superior knowledge to anyone here just a little bit to add to help as many as I can while Im still around.
I am not going to waste my time hating or flaming anybody because I made a mistake and misphrased a post.
So I hope you realise it was a casual mistake, I did not mean it the way you see it. Let it slide and I will try show you I am not here to look bigger than anybody, just trying to be helpful thats all.

Hey WINDOWS XP PRO really is the best of all windows, Microsoft went all out when they made XP pro.
I would have to agree with everyone that thought XP was the best Microsoft OS out there.
Trust me I would run Red Hat Linux, but I don't have the right modem. So I use windows, and trust me I think if there was a choice I would take XP.
