first I ll start telling you a little about myself, trying to gain your trust.
I am not a hacker, I dont want to be a hacker, I aint got the time and the patience to learn, I think the most members arent hackers, I enjoy reading the little arguments everybody has, it all keeps friendly. some topics are even very informative, you never know where you can use it for.
but offcourse I try out some things (hacking) to see how it works, most off the time it fails.

well now my question
one off my teachers has an website, the school website, and I want to break into the ftp server.....
I personally think it isnt possible (maybe not impossible but just very hard)
I know everybody here has a strong opinion about hacking into stuff you shouldnt be, but this is more like a joke with my teacher
he knows I am trying to break in I tryed password crakers, keygenerators..
but they all (offcourse) failed..

so is it possible??? if yes, how can I manage?????

I hope you all believe me, I understand that you maybe think this is all bull and just an excuse too make you tell me how to break in..

but it isnt, and even if it was it cant be that bad cause I cant do much harm...

have you a tried a brut force on the ftp?
do you know what port the server is running on?

What kind of system do they have? if it is NT4 or Win2000 you could use a program called antexp.exe to crack the pass.

And about your quote on the bottom

I'm not sure why grammar/spelling entered the discussion, but if we're going correct this travesty of a sentence, we'd better do it right.

-"once" should be capitalized, being the beginning of a sentence

-It's a good bet that "role" should be "roll", since "role" is a noun, and the construction "you ____ a joint" MUST be completed using a transitive verb (one that can take an object).

-I'm not really sure how one can look at perfection, but I'll let that one go and assume that Tomsan was being metaphorical and using the verb "look" to represent "consider" or "realize".

-I don't know why people insist on placing commas before every participle phrase, but they do anyway. *sigh* No comma is needed before "intrigues your nose". Say it out loud if you're not sure. Pause at the comma and it will sound wrong every time.

-"sent" should be "scent", as casper3699 pointed out.

-Implying that your nose can be intrigued is an example of pathetic fallacy, but I like the metaphor, so it can stay.

-The comma before "then you realize you live" is also ill-used. The phrase begins a new, complete, thought, so a semicolon (;) should be used. Better yet, a new sentence should be started.

So, after correction, we have "Once you roll a joint and you look at its perfection, you light it up, and the scent of it intrigues your nose. Then you realize you live."

Having said that, I'm sure I made some mistakes within my post, so if anyone would like to ridicule me for them, I'm sure I'd find that amusing. :D

If I have the patience later, I'll tackle the rest of Tomsan's post. *gasp* It's not too great either. In addition to the atrocious grammar, the content of Tomsan's post is amusing, and can be summed up with one quote:

You don't want to be a hacker because you don't have the time and patience to learn, but you want to hack a server.
First off, you need to make up your mind.
Secondly, you're not going to be able to hack that server without first taking the time to learn what you're doing.
Also, if you don't have the time and patience to learn issues with hacking and security, why are you a member here?

I guess it depends on what you want to say:
- If you mean that you realize that you're alive when you smoke a joint, it should be something like this:
"Once you roll a joint, look at its perfection, light it up, its smell intriguing your nose, then you realize you live.", or "You realize you live once...". Not quite it yet, though.
- And I'd rewrite Gautama's sentence like this: "Once you roll a joint and look at its perfection, you light it up, and the scent of it intrigues your nose. Then you realize you live." BTW Gautama: there are supposed to be two spaces after a point ;) .

And about us 'dogging out' or 'laming out': you might have noticed that we only do that when someone comes in asking to hack 'something'...
And what's wrong with philosophical or grammatical discussions? I'm here to learn, be it security related, philosophical or grammatical stuff... In my not so humble opinion, the most difficult security question is the ethical one.
