I have had BlackIce for a couple of months now and no problems, yes I have got scanned and been pleasently surprised.

Go with Zonealarm. It's the best.

I agree Zone Alarm is one of the better ones considering one of the dudes that came up with it was the head honch at Mcafee Antivirus so it was developed by someone who knew what they were doing. That maybe why it works as well as it does.
