hello everyone

the first thing

I DONT LIKE CHAT but i go time to time to the antionline chat
and i dont really like when people chat behind my back .when i was leaving there was msmittens and someone else talking about my username (magic1).they dont like it .maybe it is the worst username ever , but i like it .it is not without any meaning like some chars puts together like microsoft generated passwords.
the really thing is THAT I HATE PEOPLE JUDGING THE OTHERS BY USERNAME .

THE SECOND

i like forums because everybody helps each other only for pleasure .i like Antionline Forums too. and i try to help a little.
but when i see people like Seg-b that makes me crazy .
JP are you a founder or not get rid of that man ,seg-b is really trying to make a record with negative antipoints and he is trying to enter to GINES Book or what .

most of people in this forums is trying to learn something and to be a HACKER or a Cracker . This is not a good thing .
let me tell you something
Hackers need a new internet world order .everything is fine they are helping the internet i admit it .
i will say to you all . Make a software by yourself .you will work really hard and how do you feel when somebody will use that software for free by cheating you ????????//
You all speak about security but it is easy when you are in the other side . Prove to give security to your network .It will take your all life .
Do you want to make a cracker program ? just make a bad code thats all . make a dead loop and thats all .

Somebody find pleasure when he make a nice program that helps the other people.TRY THIS AND THAN YOU FEEL LIKE A GOD.

At the risk of being unpopular, i actually find seb-g quite funny. I've never been part of a forum where there wasn't at least one character hurling abuse about- if it bothers you, don't read his posts, otherwise - just laugh it up like i do.

I used to be pretty active on these boards a while back, until it degenerated into the kind of childish bullshit magic1 was complaining about.

Dont like his nick? who cares.. its not important.. what really IS important is what each person has to say/contribute to the community.

the point that magic1 brings up that serious threads get very little responce, and flame threads get multiple pages of replies is generally true, and was the reason i left in the first place. i came back a few days ago only to realize now that this is still the case.

if you want to argue about how "lame" someone's nick is, how much of a loser someone else is, or just feel like being a troll and starting flame wars, go back to middle school. There are people here that actually come to learn something, not make fun of others.

Give magic1 a break! Believe it or not, I actually agree with him on some of his points. This site is for security, not INsecurity. Crackers are insecure. People who use their "1337" programming abilities for evil are insecure. People who flame others for the fun of it are insecure. Most of you reading this are insecure.

Always remember that hackers, or at least the true ones, are the good guys. They are typically very proficient programmers, and are experts at security. They help hold this amazing world-wide communication system (the Internet) together.

Crackers, and people claiming to be hackers because they deface websites or otherwise screw with computers, are the bad guys. They give hackers a bad name. They typically don't even do their own programming, and if they do, it is for the sole purpose of causing trouble to some unsuspecting victim.

Also, there is nothing at all wrong with the nick. I've seen much worse in these forums.

I realize that by posting this I may lose whatever reputation I have managed to create for myself on AO. But I also realize that I may gain a true friend.

Please go easy on the flames. I enjoy reading a few, but when there are two pages of nothing but flames (and all almost exactly identical), I find it rather depressing. Anyone can flame anyone they want. It takes true strength to stand up in front of your peers and put in a few kind words for the flamee. And if you absolutely MUST flame me, please do us all a favor and do it privately. This site has PM's for a reason. Use it.

magic1 -- don't let the insecure fools of the bunch get you down. I hope that this post may mean something to you. Let me know if it does.

TheInsecureLosersOutThere -- get a life. There's more to life than tearing others down. The weakest man can operate a wrecking ball (or a plane) and bring a massive building down. But I'd like to see someone strong enough to build that building back up.

Ok. You know what I hate? When people make assumptions. I checked my logs but I can attest to the fact that I DID NOT make fun of your nick. Believe me, I've seen tonnes of nicks of a variety of types and such in my years of IRC chat.

I went through ALL my logs. (Yes, I log all my chats for this reason and others) And I see no reference to what you are talking about. Perhaps someone logged on as me (JP, please get a nickserv! Pretty please?).

The only thing that I will not tolerate on the chat is

a) people wanting to be "1337" hackers by downloading a program and yet, not having a clue about the OS
b) people being racist, sexist, etc.
c) spamming. (the politicians do enough thanks. I don't need to see more).

So I ask, sir/madam, that you retract your comment at claiming that I slandered you. Thank you.

I've been reading everyone's post on this subject...and I figured I would post my thoughts on the subject. :)

This post is not in response to Magic1’s post, I think that issue has already been addressed. This post deals with Darkmo0n's post; he had a lot of very good points.

In my opinion, I have noticed a lot of "garbage" being posted. I have noticed a lot of non-additive posts that in no way were related to security. Yes...I have noticed...

So what did I do? Well as earlier suggested "Leave...If you don't like it leave” That’s what I did...If anyone has noticed, I haven't been posting as much as I usually do.

You see, let me share with everyone a little secret...I don't come here to learn. The truth is, if I wanted to learn, I would do so by means of independent study. The sole reason I come here is to help people (I'm sure thats why alot of the other member come here too). The emails and private messages I receive from other members, I really do appreciate them! It lets me know that I am doing a good thing!

But let me get back to my point, I don’t want to be too hypocritical about this… because I too am guilty of posting a useless message here or their. And to tell the truth…I don’t care about the posts that are “garbage”, they usually add some comic relief. But the problem with posts that are “garbage” is that it gets difficult to find the legitimate posts.

I think a good solution to this problem is to have a forum section dedicated to “garbage” posts that are not displayed on the main page. I think that would keep people from getting discouraged because they have to sort the good posts from the bad.

This is not worth posting a thread about. If you have a problem with them, you need to take it up with them personally. There is nothing we can do about it.
