PC Games

Anyone here play any PC games.. if so.. which are your favorites.. Does anyone agree with me.. those who play these games.. that they can be as addictive as any drug?

On PC, I perfer strategies and FPS. When it comes to consoles...RPGs all the way!

I used to really be into Flight simulation stuff, but I've moved on to first person shooters like Soldier of Fortune and Max Payne. Max Payne is more of a third person shooter...but you know what I mean.

i'll have to admit that i was a game-addict. i didn't have that many games, but those games i had, i spent a lot of time on [i still play some of them, just not as much now]. they include age of empires, tie fighter, privateer, duke nukem 3d, caesar2, commandos... don't ask how many of those i had finished. i mainly go for strategy games nowadays, and i'm trying to get back to first-person shooters. i now have half life but i want to upgrade my windoze pc to run it, and counter-strike. as far as strategy goes, does anyone here recommend caesar2?

Not sure about caesar 2, but you can't beat Age of Empires II The Conquers

most of my typing involves a debugger which cathes most of my finger fumbles.

I've always been found of the classics. I love good old Leisure Suit Larry, Gold Rush, Space Quest, Police Quest and all the old Seirra Games.
Now adays a love playin games like Star Craft and Warcraft. If anyone has played War Craft II let me know how it is. I play Tribes and Tribes II, Unreal Tournament and a few other live action on LAN or internet gaming. Real time stragey and RPG's remain my favorite.
Now we can't forget one of the best line of PC games ever created... The entire Mechwarrior Series. To include Mechwarrior and the first generation RPG games that came with it including the old BBS mechwarrior game if anyone remembers it. The one way before FASA got into PC gaming. I loved Mechwarrior II, III, and IV.
One more game series was the Journman Project and the Myst series was good too. But that about some it up.

I am a simulation fanatic. I love all Sim City games, the sims, roller coaster tycoon, civilizations. I want to get a game called Black and white. I hear it is excellent. When I took a LAN class one of my class projects was to build a 16 player quake network. Since then I have loved online multiplayer games. I remember after we got the network up, our class size suddenly doubled as everybody wanted to play. We had the network up 3 days, where I skipped all my classes, and played quake for six hours straight. There were so many people who wanted to play that there was a line. On day 3 the server went down and we seperated into 3 4-player quake games. Still fun, but I couldnt play much since I was trying to get the server back up.

I am a fan of the RPG, no matter what format...

loved seirra's Quest for Glory series...
but overall my favourite games of all time would have to be Fallout 1 or 2... such fun....

Counterstrike.. The only game worth of being mentioned.. oh ya.. that and tribes 2...

Ah.. Leisure Suit Larry... The first one was the greatest game.. However.. I'm into the role-playing thing.. I always have been.. ever since well... Nintendo! Zelda.. Shadowgate.. Now.. all the good games are on the PC.. I don't understand how consoles survive still.. Even if you wanted to play a console game.. you can download an emulator, of the system that you wish to play.. and the rom of the game.. I like the Baldurs Gate series.. I kicked the **** out of Diablo II.. It's boring to me now.. If only.. Baldurs gate had a hack-proof way of converting characters.. Hacking takes the fun out of any game.. cheats.. mods.. well.. mods.. can sometimes add fun.. in shooters for example.. a whole new arsenal.. etc.. I like shooters and strategy as well.. Starcraft.. Warcraft.. Unreal.. Tiberian Sun.. Hey.. did you hear.. Westwood wants to make a first person shooter version of Tiberian Sun.. Hehe.. *Snaps out of it* Yeah! And video games suck! Why do you waste your time.. *Snaps back into it* I know where you people are coming from.. I wish I could still play for as long as I sleep.. 12/12 hours.. Hey.. wait.. I still do! hehe..

pc games are very addicting, my brother and i spend way too much time in front of the tube !! Up to 55 to 60 hours a week sometimes more. ( u know them all nighters??) We are now currently addicted to the pc game Return to Castle Wolfenstein 2.
You would not believe how pissed my brother's girlfriend get at him, and lately it's getting worse. But if u are a gammer u know time fly's when you are on a fragging spree. I guess you just have to know when to say when.... OR NOT!!!!!

To those who have accsess to high speed online here are a couple of good games for u to try:
Return to Castle Wolfenstein,
quake 3 arena, 1000's of maps and add on's
Unreal tourny, but the credit card thing might be a problem for some,
EverQuest, as with unreal u need the plastic money

Mech Warriors 4

I own Daikatana, but I hate it. But the music kicks ass. I mostly just listen to the music in winamp. heh.

I actually need to buy some more games sometime soon. I hear that Max Payne is pretty good once you work out the bugs. peace.

TFC is much better than CS(both mods for halflife)...atleast as far as comunity goes...

take your average CS player. their name is "~-=[&^*KiLLaZ*^&]=-~ 1337 0wnzer0r \/\/h0 k!llz j00". they have 3 different wall hacks and aim bots on their box and know which they want to use under what cirsomstance(just for those who dont know, wall hacks are cheats that allow you to see through walls and aimbots are just what it sounds like, they aim for you). they constantly cry "CHEATER!" whenever they die, no matter if it was a legit kill or not. they bitch about "stupid fag newbie guns". basically, they suck. now, im not saying that CS cant be fun...i've had fun with it when i was playing with friends, but it just isnt as addicting as TFC for me.

max pain is very fun. the only thing is that its kinda short. i never really had to deal with any bugs and i finished it without patching it. im not sure what it costs now, but it is definatly a bit short.
