Why are some a 'pain in the...'? Hopefully I'm not one of those 'pains' your talking about, but there's always gonna be people that you don't fancy, you just have to ignore those and get on with the other positive things. If you think this site is good, don't let a few fools stop you from accessing it.

A little harsh but more or less correct! This is the 'net. People come and people go. Most people that make these "farewell" threads usually come back.....
I can think of 3 well respected senior members who have done the same and had to eat "humble pie" on their return. The point is we all get fed up at some stage, you just have to deal with it....
Well, I agree with everyone. This is internet. This is life. We are dealing with people. People aren't perfect. They do things on the spur of the moment that they may regret. They do things to try to impress others, and end up pissing people off. Forgive them. Yeah, there are more than a few people that I can't stand on the forums *cough* oblio *cough*, but there are so many other great people. It's a big happy family, complete with the annoying little brothers.

I think a full explanation and specifics about whatever it was that upset you should be posted....but another thing that I thought about while I was reading through the responses is this you had said something like, if things change, I'll be back....How will you know if things have changed if you're not around....
This place is like a manic rollercoaster ride. We've all been insulted and slapped around...but hey! .... doesn't that just mean that if the moon is full and the mood bites me that I have a fair cause for mud slinging myself???? I dunno :/ maybe? or maybe not?
If anyone wants to take a break for a while ... don't let the door hit you on the way out ... then whenever that person would want to come back ... well ... if you'd contributed something... anything .. then maybe someone will say, "hey, where have you been?"
