Ok, so the prisoners are put on an island in the middle of nowhere. But what next? I suppose they're not gonna be kept there forever, but what should be done with them? Are they gonna be put in American prisons, sent back to Afghanistan, dumped in the sea, or what??
What do you think should be done, and even more interesting: What do you think really is gonna happen to them? Perhaps someone got any "inside-information"?
Personaly I think we should take egytps method of interrogation. They took a Taliban prisoner and turned him into a human roast. And kept heating up the fire until he talked. THis is unhumane. So are they. If they talk they live the rest of their pethetic lives in a federal pen.
If they don't they die. I have no mercy for these peices of shyt. **** them! All they want is to kill Americans. WTF did we do to them. Not a damn thing. They hate us because we know who God really is. That he is a God of love. Not death. Love. Not hate. Eye 4 an eye, if they are so obsessed with the law of Abraham. Its an eye for an eye. Once found guilty (by fair judicial process(and if found to be guilty)). They should be forced to eat red meat.

They use a military tribunal not the standered judicial process, and I think they should line them up and force them to river dance instead of eat red meat. But they'll probly just execute them.Quote:

Yep zepherin, I think you got something here. :) Anyone who 'worked' for such an oppresive regime as the taliban (note lowercase 't') should be lined up and shot. Though you could argue that social need led many of these soldiers to becoming involved with the taliban in the first place... They will have no sympathy from me.

I suppose the best torture they could get, if kept alive that is, is to have to work in slimepits or salt mines. If executed then that's the end of it isn't it?
Ok so here's one -
put them on old, no longer useful passenger planes and fly them by remote control into mountain sides. This would have several key benefits-
the military could perfect remote control mechanisms
the pilots could run precrash tests
the air force could practice intercepting rogue planes
they would have the opportunity to call out to their God just before impact (grins to Dr Toker)
we would be rid of the taxpayer expense of hosuing them

because the only reason they join the army cuz there was
no food or money in the country and the only way they could
survive was to join the army so i say we just leave then on the

I have to agree with rcgreen. The German soldiers were sent home, even if they took part combat. I think that was right decision.

I say send them to prison in Florida or "Attica" prison kept under very tight surveilance. I personally think they are gonna get killed by the(services) U.S Government for being prisoners then it will all be covered up then everyone will forget about them. They are just another STATISTICS!

i never wanted to insult any of the victims of the attack but i think it's not a solution to kill all these people...and the country that tried to kill of the jews WAS germany...belive me...i remember...we all do...and right now history is repeating...in those days the whole german nation followed adolf hitler because he promised improvement in their quality of life which had suffered after WWI...at that time the german people were hungry and they were dirty...just like the people in afghanistan who followed bin laden...he said: fight for me, fight for allah and you will be rewarded...it's the same thing...these people look at america and they see people having big cars, people having swimming pools in their garden and people who have enough to eat...the only way to stop the terror is to abolish the injustice in the world...give these people enough to eat, give them justice and they will never attack you again...

USA was formed and strengthened by great leaders like Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln. In this it is analogous to all the great powers that have been, Rome, Greece, Persia, Egypt built by men of standing and endurance. But these nations let their military and economical power rule rational thought. Leaders were corrupt and lacked morality. And that was their fall. Isn't your country going the same way? And god-forbid, its going to be one steep fall that'll take the world with it.
So please Dr. Tokur, see the world from an honest perspective.
I think these people do not deserve punishment (if I get a neg antipoint for this, I feel bad for you for having a closed mind). All these people did was fight for what they believed in, it's just sad they did it how they did. I think that despite all of the people dying, the best thing to do is not retaliate, but rather prevent. I don't have any direct solutions, but fighting over something never solved anything. If you can't get in, you can't cause harm. Same with the security profession and hackers, and I'm sure you all (or most) would agree if asked if hacking was bad that the security shouldn't have let them in in the first place and none of it will happen. It's a total metaphor, IMO.
Have you ever seen that movie 7? If so I think we should do to them what that sick dude did to that one guy. Cut them open peice by peice really slow and keep them alive as lond as we can so they can feel the pain for months maybe even years!!! I need to stop im making myself sick lol :D

These "victims" as you call them are not only indirectly responsable for the WTC attacks they are also guilty of torturing and persecuting thier own poeple. Perhaps we should turn them back over to the afgans. They would deal with them swiftly I assure you.

- ram the PVC pipe up the terrorists' bum far enough to reach the major internal organs, but not far enough to kill them.
- slide the barb wire into the full length of the pipe and proceed to pull the pipe out, thus leaving the barb wire inside the terrorists digestive system.
- douse the tree with gasoline
- tie the other end of the barb wire to the tree that you just soaked in gas, leaving about 1 ft. of barb wire between his ass and the tree
- then light the tree on fire
This gives him the desicion to rip out all of his internal organs or to get burnt to death. Or if you are very sick minded, take their balls and put them in a vice and keep turning, and turning, and turning.... POP!!

Great analogy in your post inKognito. And the talibans were defending their homes, not "invading" a country on the other side of the globe.
Besides there is a difference between leaders and grunts. Do what you want with the leaders but leave the people alone. And make a difference between Al'Qaeda and talibans.

They should be released immediately. First of all, they are not America's prisonners. It was the Afghanistanian opposition forces that wages war against the Taliban not the USA. The USA decided that they should over throw the government based on them not cooperating. This essentially is kidnapping. If the US wants to arrest terrorists abroad this is a different story. A nation cannot just go and arrest a foreign army's soldiers for no reason. It is good that Bush realized this and is sending the Taliban regulars back to their native. As for the Al queda, well that's a whole different ballpark.
Well, considering it is a military tribunal, i believe that cruel and unusual punishments are allowed, which in some cases could be a good thing...
So how about giving them lots of food, chicken, hamburger, cow, steak, ( I know some of these things come from the same animal, but shhh... we won't tell them) and lotsa fish, and then we could smother them in buttter... uhhh butter.... and then we can put them in a large 'crockpot,' or better yet... A CAULDRON! ooooh, i think you know what's coming next... we boil the water, throwum in, turn it on high for a while, then after 2 hrs of cooking, throw in the seasoning and let it simmer till it smells, "Just Right." And Voila, Stew... i think it'd be quite tasty....

As far as the Taliban go. I think we should execute them in the fashion they so love. Take em out to a soccer stadium and just unceremoniously chop their heads off.
As far as the foot soldiers go. they are just poor dirt farmers who got caught up in the rhetoric and the hope of the Taliban. Just send them back with the message "If you do this type of thing again, you'll not be spared."
You aren't mentioning the fact that the prisoners probably don't know anything. They are told a minimal amount of information and when tortured still won't be able to tell because of their lack of knowledge. They should be considered POWs because they still were representing Afghanistan. Besides, this is just going to lead to US attacking any country they want. Perpetual war by political leaders who want to play with their army. I believe they should attack Florida because plenty of terrorists live there.

They should not be considered POW's, only three nations in the world recognized the Taliban as national leaders, that does not qualify them for inclusion in the Geneva convention. End of story.
