Final farewell?

Greetz everyone.
I'm makeing one more post before I take a trip
away from AO. I don't now how long I'll be gone
or if I'll even get to return. It was nice meeting
all of you. I won't post or reply to private messages
for quite some time. I have charges for posession of
marujuana with intent to distribute. My bond was set
at $5000. I'd just like to let everyone who still smokes
bud that.. it's not worth it. It's fun and all but it REALLY
isn't worth it. I hope none of you have to spend a few
nights in jail to figure that out.. Cause that's what it took
for me to learn and belive me, I did. Take my advice, just
quit now while you're ahead. You'll thank me for it later.
I'm not going to make a list of farewells to everyone cause
there's too many ppl to list and I don't want to leave anyone out.
It's been nice knowing you all. So long, Farewell, and goodbye.

Hey Remote I feal you I know excatly what your going threw, I got caught and in my state it is a 3rd degree-felony mininum of 5 years but I am not a criminal had no prior past record (because they throw juvenile records away)I had to sit in jail for 4 months wanting for my court date the only thing I got is 2 year probation pay court fees etc...


The sentance determines how much money/marijuana going around basically the total value!

Ouch..... Painful, man.

That's exactly why you don't get into dealing. Most smokers get away without getting caught. It's not until you get into dealing that you get into dangerous territory.

What's really sad, is that all experts on the subject of illegal drugs (that aren't on government payroll) do not recommend jail time for pot smokers. It's really sad that society has to be so uptight and paraniod over such a harmless thing.

Jail sucks. I was once in Wyandotte county jail(Kansas City, Kansas) and the whole time there I thought only of when I would get out. I turned my life around, went back to college, and decided to focus on computers and away from the street. For those who are curious, aggravated assault, and warrants for traffic violations put me there.

While I don't 'puff puff pass' (1 hit on a bong is my entire drug career), I will agree to the fact that for pot and weed...what's the point? It's relatively harmless if kept in a controlled manner, just like drinking. I think one reason why it's so locked down is because it's done mostly by teenagers/early-twenties people who aren't responsible enough to know when to do it and where to do it. I've seen plenty of situations where they've just GOT to be aggressive, loud, obnoxious and cause trouble. Can you blame the cops when dealing with idiots like that? Now in your own house, do what ya want. Keep it quiet and nobody knows nor cares. Not to mention, I myself don't want to be around pot-smokers because of the odors you get entrenched in your clothes. Same thing goes with smokers. Can't stand them either. These are my opinions only. Some of the best people I know happen to do pot or weed or smoke 3 packs a day. It doesn't prevent me from spending time with them, I just don't like being around them when they're lighting up. Also, on the flip side, some of the dumbest fscks I've ever known do extensive pot/weed/worse WHILE smoking AND drinking or any combination. It goes both ways.

Key words here are moderation, containment, awareness of where you're at, who you're with, and consideration for those people. If people were a little more conscious of others, we'd be in a better world. And I'd rather stick with a pot-smoker with an open mind than a 'normal' person who doesn't drink or smoke and puts down everyone who does. I've seen those and they're the worst. After all, we all bleed and shite the same.

You post some great posts Remote_Access - it's a loss to all of us to see you go. Hopefully your trip will only be a very short one.

I supported the idea of a mailing list/newsletter.. I believe it would be a valuable addition to the site.. Now, I briefly read over your newsletter, and one thing struck me... Have you ever heard of formatting??? Y'know, page breaks, table of contents.. all those kinda things which make it easier to read and find the information your after...

Now, I understand that you were trying to be helpful.. But you have really gone at it the wrong way... Rather than Cut-N-Pasting whole slabs of information, you really should write a brief intro, and then provide a link to the page your grabbing the information from... that way, your making it easy to read, and also not depriving other sites of their deserved traffic by stealing their work...

And admitting that you copied the sections from SANS, doesn't make it ok... Did you actually ask SANS if you could use the text you borrowed?? Did you check that you weren't violating any copyrights?? I mean, your posting it stating that its AO's Newsletter... if you haven't checked this, and have violated copyright, you could get AO into trouble...

Also, did you get JP's permission before writing this? In general, people/organisations do not like it when you write something under their guise, without their permission.. it can get them into a lot of trouble, and facilitate a lot of false images....

I'd be more than happy to help with further newsletters, providing that these issues and certain others are resolved...

I know what you are going through. It isn't fun, but you will make it through. Hopefully you didn't have to much with you, and will only be doing a little bit of jail time. Who knows, maybe you will end up with just probation, but the way our government is going lately......
