what do you want to learn?
go to any webpage you like...and click on view source...
from here you will get the basic ideas of html.
if you want more complex stuff like javascripting...then do the same thing, only find a page that has javascript
routers and swtiches configurations and everything and anything -- see what im saying
dont wanna learn about view sorce code on HTML , im not a web man...sorry
oh..do you mean to 'host' your own website??
at that you don't need a router or a switch, but what OS are you running?? I'm assuming windows or you wouldn't be asking this question, let's see,
I use Apache for my linux box...and...yes, there is a windows version of Apache.

Im sorry guys , i wanna learn the stuff they dont teach in class. I have a server at home but its not a static IP right now so whats the point right? -- anyways and help will be appreciated

Well, you'll be able to find alot of help on AntiOnline, but you'll need to be a little more specific with your question. Do you want to learn how to set up routers? Do you want to know technically how they work? There is much to be learned, but anything and everything is a little vague - if you're a little more specific, we will be better able to help you.
Okay, I see you've just replied while I was typing. What have you learned in class?
it's no problem, you can get programs for that....it's not a big deal to have a dyn IP...
basic A +, OS, Linux,Win2k,Win2k Server, and basic networking, topologies and such. Never really went into how port on the router or switch work. Opening or blocking or overflowing were not discussed. I was wondering do they have programs that do such or they personal scripts?

So you're wanting to know about ports? What are you wanting to do?
corect -- open a gateway for my remote software to access a desktop who has the client software installed on it
Tell us a little more about your network - are you running any firewall hardware, software? What kind of connections do you have, etc? Basically, you are wanting to access the desktop that is on the network at your house from a remote location? For starters here, remote management software like PC Anywhere will do that for you.
Ok -- i 've been keeping a low down -so nobdy will boot me off,i didnt know if u could say this or not anywayz -- im using remote anything. Im on a University network and Im trying to access remote network, in which a desktop on that network has the client for remote anything already installed. Everytime i try, im denied..even telent. So i figured sinced it's a secured enviroment over there..it was be a firewall stopping outside access. Correct?

yeah i was supposed to fix the remote PC -- becuz the yahoo messager is going off and on. So what is the deal? anyways you dont wanna help its cool...

It does sound a little dodgy. ravenRX7, is this supposed to be for work? The best thing for you to do in this situation is to coordinate with the administrator of the remote network.
if it's a software issue, and you have permission...why not just go to the computer and fix it??? since this is the ABSOLUTE logical way about doing things, and it didn't seem to cross your mind, I don't know about your motives anymore....
I mean if that's what you wanted to know, why not ask....why ask dumb questions like
