I have seen at least three instances (and I'm sure there have been more than that) asking for a cryptology forum. As you have not yet put one in, I assume you have a reason for doing so.
If you don't mind, could you either tell me why you have chosen not to make a cryptology forum, or make one?

i think such a big word like cryptology might be to complicated for some of our users like "i am a cracker" and "lovable" we wouldnt want to confuse them and have them post up nude pictures of themselves thinking thats what the fourm is for ;x

i like the idea of a cryptograpy forum.. but really i am for anything that has to do with computers or security..even if its something i am currently not very interested in.. i just like that the info could be availible to me if i need it.

I don't think this is big enough thing for a completely new forum... Although cryptology is very interesting in my opinion too. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing a forum dedicated to Cryptology. Maybe we could also have a weekly/monthly (whatever) thing where someone posts some encrypted message and we all try to decipher it with all our brain power! :)
I think it could be an alternative (very small one) to the 'hacking games' that people want to see on this site, which most likely are not going to happen.

hot-ice, I was in chat on friday and j.p. said he was going to be hosting a "war game". That will allow use to try to cracking some of his boxes on a seperate network. You might want to look around the board this week, because I think he is announcing it soon.
On the topic of cryptology, YES it is a very important subject and i think we should a forum for it.
yeah a crypto forum is a good idea i just hope that it won't be just a listing of web site and that it will actually be more technical...

OOoooooooooook. As a TRIAL BASIS ONLY, I have opened up the Cryptography, Steganography & Watermarking forum. If I see that there are enough conversations (of an intelligent nature) going on, it will stay for good.
