Well, I'll have to say Kazaa. I've used Morpheus and AudioGalaxy, but I find Kazaa is really the best for me. So far it has found almost everything I need (which is mostly music).
I know it's got craploads of spyware (damn thing opens up some online casino link every now and then), but Morpheus now has spyware as well (see http://www.vnunet.com/News/1130284). If you are looking for just music, AudioGalaxy is good because it has some less-popular music that you might not find on Kazaa.

You should get Gnucleus... It comes with source-code (I think), so if you can get it to compile, you can customize it around a bit... I've used it for a while, and I like it a lot...
Here is a site: http://www.gnutella.com/connect/windows/clients/3
Just remember, there are lots of people on a P2P network that may run scripts... If they find another computer, the script tries some ports... Generally they are the same people, so blocking them with your firewall should be ok... As long as they can't get any connections... Oh, and a helpful tip: When downloading, disconnect from the network (Disconnect Button On The Client, Stay on the Internet)... Your downloads will come in faster with the freed up bandwidth...
Hope this helps...

Just interjecting a little article on P2P Spyware...

I like Imesh. I have tried nearly every single p2p app. And Imesh reigns supreme. (this week atleast) :)
Well, I have to go with KaZaA on this one... I used to say Morpheus, but then the preview version came out... and all went to hell. They went from being a great p2p service to being another Gnutella client. :chuck:
If you're using windows I would recommend WinMX. It's the best one I've used.
http://opennap.sourceforge.net has a complete list of all clients at the bottom of the page.
Try:
http://www.audiognome.com
http://www.filenavigator.com
http://www.networksunshine.de/
http://www.teknap.com
http://lopster.sourceforge.net
http://www.drumbeat.info/
http://jasta.gotlinux.org/
These are some of the better ones to use, cause I don't like WinMX.
thax 4 the help :)
Just tried audiognome, and there seems to be a helluva lot of files available on it
I'm going to say KaZaA but then I haven't tried WinMX or audiognome yet.
Gnucleus is very cool but he's right you have to get it to compile right. Morpheous used to be good until that new edition came out and I can't seem to find anything. So I switched to KaZaA and that's working just fine.
This is easy to remove. Just go to the 'tools'-toolbar, choose 'internet options', then 'security'. Click the 'restricted sites'-icond, then the 'sites'-button. Enter the URL of the casino (found in the title window bar), hit 'enter', and no pop-ups for you!Quote:

Yeah, I would also say KaZaA, it has shitloads of files and you could chose not to share your files ;)
