Welcome to the new poll of Gbin@ryR!!! This poll has the biggest question:
HOW MANY HOURS R U ON-LINE???
'bout 11 hours or so per day.
I wonder if this is a problem....Hi my name is freeOn and I'm a Computerholic
i am on 24/7/365
Its called cable. :)
but i spend around 6-8 hours actually doing stuff on the internet :)
I want so much and more ,but i can't i'm about 3 and a half hours per day. There are so much in internet to do and so little time to see them (i think somewhere i have heard that).
There's more time than life.
I would be on 2+ hours per day if net access in the UK wasn't so expensive! :(
As it is now, usually about 15 - 30 mins online, and that's only because I get free access at college.
no way. In our high school the computers' teacher normally is Biologist and because he knows a bit of computers he teach computers too and in his lesson we connect on net via the ISDN (128kbps) line that the school has.
ISDN - It Still Does Nothing. Expensive.
Excatly what u said. Hehe
Hours? You must mean days.. I once stayed at my computer 2 days in a row (no sleep), I had a huge term paper due :( I actually looked like my avatar after I was finally done.
ac1d... been there before. Only 1 real difference. I wasn't working on a school paper. It was back in 90/91, I was using a mud for 72 hours straight. Only time I wasn't in from of the computer was when I had to piss....and once when my mom made me eat dinner (but I didn't log off).
my day starts off preety good. the first period at school is computer science. so i spend about 30 mins there. at home is spend about 3-4 hours. i do my homework at school....the next day.
over 12 hrs because of my job.................
about 10 hours a day i would say! Like i once saw somewhere, you dont get knowledge in computers hanging in dojo's
If you mean internet I'd say 2 to 3 per day. If you mean doing something w/a computer (ie writing code in a networked environment I'd 12 to 14 [internet + coding])
I actually just drop in and out of the net during the day.
School->home, net for an hour or two, check forums, e-mail etc.-> do something->back on for an hour or two to see if anything is happening and then drop into IRC before bed.
On weekends I spend a good few hours browsing also.
Ennis and I are alike. Well, I actually am goodlooking, but apart from that... ;)
I am on and off,
I am on computers mostly during the weekdays, I am also a sysadmin, so my job calls for computer involvement. But even at home I am on the computer& internet for about 8+ hours then on the weekends, mostly fridays and saturdays I go out to a club or something just to drink and listen to some rave or techno. I go alone :( but is is still good fun! That is my life in a paragraph.
Im gonna send you nasty pms!Quote:

How much does in your country internet costs (in €)
Well, I don't know what '€' is, but here in Australia, 56K unlimited costs probably around $25.Quote:

Broadband costs craploads more. For cable, it's about $70 or more per month for only like 3GB downloads. For ADSL it's even more, about $90 or more for about 3GB to 6GB.
They are with the ISP's I know, there are probably others, but prices are about the same.
To get the approx US price, just half the Australian price.
Greg
€ is euro the (new) europe's money.(except England and some other countries)
