Ulead makes a pretty good one. Then there's always Premiere.
use www.google.com
Thnx man, Google it is. :)
Premiere + AfterEffects are great...and just saw on adobe's site...you can get
Adobe Premiere® 6.0, After Effects® 5.5, Photoshop® 6.0, and Illustrator® 10. all for $1200 usd as a bundle...plus you get a free upgrade to Photoshop 7 when it's released...
Do you think I'm going to BUY all that? I do, I really do buy all my warez..... espescially the expensive ones. :)
you asked for professional editing software...
professionals don't use warez...we buy software...it keeps the companies that make the programs that we like in business...funny how that is...
Yeah but rape is still rape. Ya know? I've always thought Adobe gouged on prices, but you've got a point Zigar, if no one 'buys' the software then the company will go out of business.
I agree, but the crackers keep the security guys in bussines and viseversa. When a program is cracked, the company is searching for better security software. When I buy software, there's only a small portion of money contributed to the company. So I think it won't be of any use to buy, and the problem is that most people think this way. The only way to solve this problem is to convince all those people at once that buying is the best thing to do. And that can't be done.Quote:

well..i hate paying big bucks for things too...but ...i look at it this way...
if you are a "professional" in this case...you are going to use video editing software to "make a living"...then a couple grand for "the tools" isn't unreasonable...and i've been there done that with illegal software...(got my first virus ever from pagemaker 1.0 for windows which a friend bought for me in the philippines for 20 bucks...)..but i've come to the conclusion that..tech support/documentation and all that are way more important for a pro than the initial cost...
besides....talk to a mechanic about how much his tools cost...i'm a musician...i have prob have 20g's worth of gear...(and i'm only part time at that...hehe)
few people think twice when it comes to laying out a couple of grand for hardware...because it's tangible...software...well it's the whole intellectual property thing...
and really..the bundle i mentioned...300 bucks a piece for the 4 top of the line graphics progs isn't gouging..at least i don't see it that way...
Hardware I always buy, because I simply want quality, but software?
If you are a professional you can afford it. Definatly when you work for a company.
You are correct. Besides the initial value in professional software there is usually a massive library of tweaks, known issues, help files, manuals and a regular emailing of additional help and newly breaking info on each product. I've never had much luck getting a one-on-one answer from Adobe, but most of the time if I look deep enough it's already in their support archives ...somewhere.... Except how to prevent the Russian cracker's code from compromising your secured PDF and Adobe EReader files....... But maybe they just didn't want to talk about that. :DQuote:

Well now. Last time I checked it was quite hard to 'warez' hardware. Unless of course, you got it from the 'black market' or a friend who worked at a warehouse which stored computer components.Quote:

And there are some really shitty hardware components out there. As there are some really well done Software applications. Such as Macromedia and Adobe's Products. Sure you might not like how they act, but who the hell is telling you, that you need to use it?
Well that certainly is a good way to increase the cost!! Have you thought of that? Also, if they spent more time, increasing security instead of making the application better, you are getting absolutly no where.Quote:

Oh really? If it isn't going to the company who built it, where is it going? I would like to know. Or are you mixing the Software Industry up with the Music Industry.Quote:

This whole thing boils down to ethics. And most people these days have very little.
First, hardware is hard to find. But I got a friend over here and over there who can supply me with good hardware.
Second, I think company's don't lose that much money in security that the quality of the program goes down. Companies DO NOT spend more time securing there programs then improving them. That's just apsolutly insane. If companies would do that, they would be out of bussines.
Third, I ment that the money I spend for a program is only a small portion of all the buyers combined. If I would start buying all of my software, I would have a lot less of it and my money would not make any difference for the company.
I respect your oppinion but I'm not gonna change mine. If you think I have very little ethics, that's fine with me. Just don't turn this thing from a discussion into a flame-war. I would appreciate it. :-)
apparently you have not bought a microsoft product lately
Not trying to flame. :)
Which increases the cost of the product. And having to deal with people who don't pay for it.Quote:

Well, you said in the previous quote that they are searching for better security software. And no they don't spend more time securing their software than improving them, I don't think I said that did I?Quote:

Do you really think you are the only one who does it? You probably don't, if you have some sense. Your money does make a difference; but don't think of it as just you. Think of say, 20 people getting a $300 for free compared to paying for it. That is a $6,000 loss, as the company would see it.Quote:

Side Note:
Not trying to flame. It is as you said your Opinion and beliefs. And my ethics comment wasn't directed at you, it was more of a general statement. Any how, I am done here.
If you want any of those programs and more download kazaa and search for it.
