here's a sampling from my state.

It is against the law to throw a ball at someone's head for fun.

A license must be purchased before hanging clothes on a clothesline.

The penalty for jumping off a building is death.

Citizens may not greet each other by "putting one's thumb to the nose and wiggling the fingers".

It is illegal for a woman to be on the street wearing "body hugging clothing."

Women may go topless in public, providing it is not being used as a business.

I disagree with the last law because I would rather see a man than a women. :D

It's illegal in Wilbur Washington to ride an ugly horse.
It's illegal in Seattle Washington to carry a concealed weapon over six feet in length.
In Washington state, if two trains meet at an intersection, then both must stop and neither may procede until the other has gone.
It is illegal to carry an Ice Cream cone in your pocket.

There are a million of em....it's scary that these actually made it into the books (what's even scarier is that they were probobally written for a reason!

In LaCrosse,WI it is illegal to "worry" a squirrel.

Florida laws:

If an elephant is left tied to a parking meter, the parking fee has to be paid just as it would for a vehicle.

Men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown.

You may not fart in a public place after 6 P.M. on Thursdays.

A women can be fined (only after death), for being electrocuted in a bath-tub because of using self-beautification utensils.

And finnaly....

It is illegal to eat cottage cheese on Sunday after 6:00 P.M.

Some interesting California laws (some are only localized laws):

- It is a misdemeanor to shoot at any kind of game from a moving vehicle, unless the target is a whale.
- No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour.
- You are not permitted to wear cowboy boots unless you already own at least two cows. (Blythe)
- Detonating a nuclear device within the city limits results in a $500 fine. (Chico)
- One may not use one's own restroom if the window is open. (Dana Point)
- It is illegal to drive more than two thousand sheep down Hollywood Boulevard at one time. (Hollywood)
- Toads may not be licked. (LA)
- It is illegal to walk a camel down Palm Canyon Drive between the hours of four and six PM. (Palm Springs)

And my favorite:

- Motor vehicles may not drive on city streets unless a man with a lantern is wallking ahead of it. (Redlands)

In Wisconsin...

It is illegal to wake a fireman when he is asleep.

It is illegal to play checkers in public

It is illegal to display an unclothed mannequin in a store window

No male is allowed to be in a state of arousal in public

While all cheese making requires a license, Limburger cheese making requires a master cheese maker's license

(And my all time favorite...)...

At one time, margarine was illegal. (in the world of free trade and the pressures of the marketplace, it's okay now, apparently...but i still prefer butter;))

In Cheyenne, Wyoming it is illegal to take showers on Wednesday
It is illegal to wear a hat that obstructs people's view in a public theater or place of amusement.
Using a firearm to fish is strictly forbidden.
Any person who fails to close a fence is subject to a fine of up to seven hundred and fifty dollars.
It is illegal for women to stand within five feet of a bar while drinking.
You may not take a picture of a rabbit from January to April without an official permit.
Skiing under the influence of alcohol is prohibited.

Thank god there law aren't reinforced or the entire country would be in jail :3pow:

There was also a book that came out a few years back that had a whole bunch of weird laws in them

What's odd is that, for these laws to be passed, someone had to have carried out the offending action, and further, someone else has to complain...

What's odder is when they consider this a dumb law:
