I've been looking, but I cannot find a site that provides info on creating an OS. If anyone would care to help, please post a link(or more) here. Thanks.
(would also appreciate sites on creating a programming language)

When it comes to programming information and stuff I have found the most advice and information on Microsoft Chat... you may not have it... or Microsoft but that is where I got my info.. they had their own "programming" chat room... was nice to have live info right-quick. Hope this will help

Making an OS is a major project.
Check out those who are already
working on one:

Man it would take some kick ass programming skills just to make a basic os; good luck. Might make a great final project for a university programming course.
Hello Kezil,
Good day to you! Aside from the good post made by the others, I would like to you to try-out the programmers heaven site for tutorials in polishing your programming knowledge/skills. Aside from the tutorials, they also have good articles and good resource of related links.
Have Fun!!! A Blessed day to all :)

Yeah i think that the problem is growing in the US because no one will take action to stop the others from creating that problem that was created to cause a problem.

I haven't tried it myself, but I gather that it is basically LFS with a more-automated (but not dumbed-down) installation (Less mucking about with temporary partitions swapping things around)
You might want to talk to evil_enchilada - the man who never posts :) - on IRC. He's working on writing his own simple OS. He knows what he's talking about. He hangs out on the #programming channel.Quote:

unfortunately, my current ISP (through my mom's work) doesn't allow irc connections. this should be solved when we move in a few months, but until then I can't get on unless someone can tell me how to bypass this. Thanks for the info though, everyone.
Consider buying some books on the topic, since there's sush a bunch of related topics, I don't think you want to read it all from your screen. Silberschatz 'Operating System Concepts' is okay - Hamacher's 'Computer Organisation' is a more technical and goes deeper into processor architectures and related stuff.
