All OSs are almost same, but about programming language i suggest you to start with Visual Basic.
Yeah VB is good to start w/, I'd go w/ Perl though.
Perl is nice a little more support online
and maybey even more practical than vb
But if you want more freedom for your code choose C++.
C is good.. c++ too...
cool, thanks for the tips.
Yeah C is definately the way to go, but not the easiest fer starters. I started w/ C and Pascal and I had some problems in the beginning, makes learning other stuff later on a lot easier though.
About the OS, I started off with Windows XP, but as soon as I can get it installed, I'm going to use Mandrake Linux. It's supposed to be one of the most newbie friendly Linux distro's. Mandrake Linux is my recommendation for you.
Hasn't this been discussed many many many times before?
Yes Souleman....yes it has...
*sigh*....sometimes I wonder if anybody really does use that "Search Forum" up in the corner...
Yeah, one of the many many many times: 1 .
:wow:
I say start with Qbasic.... It's a basic as you can go....
