how to make multiboot for windows98 or 95 and linux?
search AO and google for "dual boot linux". I'm sure you'll get a lot of docs.

most flavors of linux has its own duel boot app w/ it.
If you use Windows as your default boot, and you have other OSes, and you have a FAT-filesystem, check out XOSL. You can install it straight from windows. It's a fairly good free boot manager. It even comes with a partition manager and a cd-rom booter. You can also password-protect bootups...
Uhm... there was a tread on this a few days ago. Maybe search the posts before you start a thread?

Quick and easy...
1> Partion hard drive
2> Install Win 9x
3> Install linux
a> Make lilo (or grub) your installer
4> reboot machine
You will have options for dos/windows and linux when you reboot.
i think you can use bootmagic
I think it will work to for unix, I'm using it for windows multiboots. but i think it's ok for unix too..
Note: I haven't try this cause i have just started with linux to and i haven't thought to make multiboot with linux... but give a shoot.......
1> Partion hard drive
2> Install Win 9x # if you have partition magic just shrink windoze and go to step 3
3> Install linux
a> Make lilo (or grub) your installer # grub is newer easier to configure...get grubby
4> reboot machine
Note avoid FAT and VFAT where possible they are extremely outdated
Even NTFS is old
A very common question on [URL=http://www.linuxquestions.orglinuxquestions/URL] .
Install windoz, then linux and configure lilo.
My 2 cents...
If you're a newbie in linux i would suggest installing lilo on a floppy disk ( you'll have to boot with the floppy to get in your linux).
Why??
Because if you install lilo on you hd and find out you hate linux then you'll have to do a "fdisk /mbr" to get rid of lilo and will loose all your data on the disk in doing so.
So try it with the floppy first.
install windows first but be carefull.
if you presently dualboot 9x and some sort of NT create bootdisks.
Linux screwed my NTFS partitions several times.
http://www.linuxmax.com has good tuts for this.
