Everyone one here is a mentor of sorts. Ask a question, you'll either get an answer or you'll get your ass flamed off.

Asking for a mentor is a tall order, try reading the posts for a bit, contributing (intelligently) where you can and you'll find some members that you will naturally gravitate towards. It works here like it does in the real world. If someone popped into my office and said...hey...i want a mentor to teach me everything....I'd tell them to get lost.....but if I knew someone that showed a desire to learn and didn't ask me to teach them everything (I fired the last one that did that. lol) I'm more inclined to take them under my wing. Mentors guide the naturally hungry, they don't spoon feed you.

Hey, Mafia. I been looking for a Mentor also. This site is a little different. If you're not careful you might be told that your question has already been asked and that's embarrsing. Make sure that you read the FAQ's which takes a while. But it is a wise thing to do.
If you want to ask questions that were asked before, then you can do it all you want at

I've never really seen the point of mentors. As long as you have like a circle of friends or whatever who know a fair amount about computers and you have a good resource of texts and tutorials, what else could a mentor do for you?

The best mentor is yourself. If theres something I can't do, I exhaust every possibility trying to solve the problem myself, then of course theres the almighty [url-http://www.google.com]Google God[/url] and then I ask these nice people here at AO, and they usually know immediately how to solve the problem!
