I got a "page not found"...
The link doesn't seem to work
Yes, I got the same prob. Could you perhaps post the name of the article if you can't get a good link?
let's try something.... http://news.zdnet.co.uk/story/0,,t269-s2111243,00.html
ok, that works, let's see what the problem is....
ahh...you have a / between news and zdnet where in my url there is a . between the two.
works fine for me
LMAO.. those kids were just using their "hacker initiatives" aka "hacker instincts" i mean.. the target was way protected for a direct attack so they tried to find a way to get around it... cant blame em.. thats just constructive thinking.
That's fascinating. I would never have thought of something like that, it's sad how unrealistic that contest is, but for $100,000- I'd play by the rules :).
$100,000 for hacking a Mickey Mouse-type server. Odd.
Well, first step... target enumeration - and that's what they did... LOL
Yeah, probably what they did was "wrong" - but it was a hacking contest. So, yeah... I think it could be argued that KDWorks implicitely granted permission for them to also go after that server.
lol that was stupid, didn't they see that goingf to happen? good one preacherman
What did the company expect? They set up a hoax like that and didn't think someone would get pissed off. I completely with what draziw said about you thinking what they did was wrong but it was a hacking comp and the company did implicate permission.
