Nothing. Nothing at all. High School was scary, although I spent half my H.S. life in a school with gangs, guns, and drugs. And being a skinny white kid, who luckily didn't show up on anybodies radar, I was scared shitless.
College was frustrating. The classes were off kilter (at least where I went -- I have been told this isn't typical :-) ) and the social life was nothing great.
I got everything I needed the first time around. I don't miss pep rallies, marching competitions, getting bullied around, cramming for exams, fearing for my life, rejection, lack of sleep, rejection.... you get the point.
The only thing I really miss are the people that I don't get to see anymore -- the product of moving 1500 miles after H.S.
That and desecrating various literary works by placing strange voice-overs, working in movie quotes (Monty Python and Shakespeare work well together), and translating them into ebonics.
Im still in school.... but i graduate this year and i will have to say ill miss everything
ill miss the feeling before a test
ill miss the feeling of seeing my friends after a long vacation
ill miss the time with my friends in lunch
ill miss the girls throwing us looks
ill miss the freebies that cost 1.50
ill miss the stinky kid everyone makes fun of
ill miss the teachers we threw paper balls at and the subs that threw them back
ill miss saying im doing classwork when really i was chatting online
ill miss checking out the teachers that every boy wanted
ill most of all miss my friends who shared all these feelings with me

Well, I'm still in school, but I graduated from Middle School and I'll miss the laid-back punishments :) You don't get expelled for doing bad things *sighs as he thinks about the silly admin* ... But I cause mischief, nothing real bad, but enough to make ignorant adults worry.
Heh I think I miss sitting around with my pals dreamming up new fresh ideas, learning faster than I am now, having time to do what I want!
11001001> Lets see. Do I have to say 1 thing?
Friends
lack of responsability
breaks between classes
getting drunk in class
drinking on the weekends
having a social life
the classrooms full of good looking females
DJ'ing the best parties on campus
the recognition I got
the lack of things to worry about
I could go on for a loooonnnng time.

Okay - I'm ready for the comments about how sick I am, but I miss math classes...
Mebbe not for long - thinking about going back for my MS in CIS... Don't know that I want to do it yet or not...

When i changed from kiddies' to high school, i had almost lost all my friends. That scar was bleeding for a long time, and i dunno if it ended today. For some years, i've been with more than 300 pals in h.s. . It was just strange, i feel stranged, isn't it? All that people that you gonna see sure for only a year. Made a few friends, and that's all. And what about teachers? I knew some awesome and some s.o.b.'s, like all of you.

Im still in middle school so i cant say i will miss anything i might miss teaching people how to bypass the lame security to "protect us" from the evils of computers and the internet. Fool proof is so lame...
I'm so far past school...lemme think...
At the time it seemed like I was always stressing about something, homework, friends, no firends, dating, not dating, blah blah....looking back after *ahen* quite a few years out it wasn't truly stressful at all. While I wouldn't want to go back I do miss it, everything was so fresh and I wasn't jaded yet. :D
Snake_Byte...weren't you in IRC under the nick ComputerGeek....from mendocino?
Just checking...

the way i figure, if i never leave, i won't miss it...
i enjoy school a lot. rack up the degrees and learn new things.
perhaps i'll go into nuclear physics next, maybe cellular biology.
i would like to consider myself someday a "jack-of-all-trades"
for now, i'm getting a hell of a kick out of IT.
The fact that things were so much simpler back then......
/me admits still being in highschool. But it's the last week of school, and they've closed down the library. I'm already missing going in there and seeing the "NO EMAIL" sign hanging from the celieng, then going to every computer station and log onto one of my four dummy email accounts...
They always seem to "think" they've solved the problem of email... but have no fear [kids]... [WebCarnage] is here.
All my friends from college. I rarely hear from any of them anymore.
I miss that giddy Joy that comes with the belif that you are on top of the world. The imortality that follows you untill you leave school and look around and see the real world. (sigh) I miss school untill I think ....All of the tremendous highs that life gave me were always followed by the painfull lows...( not talking drugs here) Now everything has evened out .....Go back to school...naw
lets see, i'm only 17 but i graduated early...
-i miss the 3 years that my band ruled the city where i live
-the girls that would flock to me because i was in a band and saw our shows
-tearing up the talent shows
-wearing my sunglasses in class because i was too hungover/high/trashed
-not doing any homework or notes but still getting A's on the tests
-dropping out three times but graduating early
-making out with the hotties on campus
-selling drugs in class
-making the computer teacher always have one eye on me
-ditching 5th period by hiding in someones car who had early release
-being the only guy on campuss with a spike in my lip, holes in my ears, a 4 guage toungue ring, an eye ring, and a dick ring
-the keggers every weekend
-i could go on forever
damn high school was fun
i guess i must have killed the thread...
I won't miss a single damn thing when I leave.
i'm still in school, and i won't miss it, i know everyone says this and then after like 10 years they miss it cuz you have to work, but i have a job know now and i don't miss school so yeah...
i'd guess i'd miss chillin with my friends during an off period
No I don't really miss that much about being in school. Though some parts of it were fun like when some girl would come up to you and say "oh my mate fancies you?" then her mate would turn out to be extremly (sp) or actually quite gorgeous.
Shame that doesn't happen now, I have to do the work myself now.
I miss the lack of responsibility, then we didn't have much to worry about. I miss having to ask if I could go somewhere, even if I was told no, I miss the homecomings and the proms, cheerleading and the pep rallys, football players making faces at you during games when a player was down and you were turned around facing them. Spending hours at a time making little spirit signs for lockers depending on the sport you were in then spiriting around the school and putting them on there. Having a teacher that swore a lot, and you thought that was the coolest thing (pre-college where everyone swears.... *LOL*) and you'd go around saying how cool that teacher was.
I especially miss the smiles and the laughs of the people that I lost over the years from car accidents, aneuryism, etc.. that never got to see the world for what it really was, even if it wasn't as easy....
<lonely geek mode>Wow, umm, that happened only once with me, and of course I couldn't approach her because my social skills were/are horrible, and I have this overwhelming fear of relationships, and I...</lonely geek mode>Just STFU secretfire you little whiner. What do you need a girlfriend for anyway?Quote:

I'm into the my 6th year at college now, and I must admit, I probalby won't miss a thing. Many of the people don't tend to be as liberal in their thinking as you would hope they would in a collegiate setting. Sad really, but their loss. Why close the doors before you have had a chance to really get started in the world?
I miss not caring :)
